I did intensive outpatient with Riverside in the summer of 2024. It was wonderful! The group therapy sessions were aimed at us patients helping one another get through recovery and life as newly sober people. The one on one sessions focused on my personal issues and struggles with recovery. They also do family sessions which help the entire family navigate this new life. I highly recommend Riverside for anyone looking for help.

Riverside literally saved my life. I learned so much about the disease of addiction and so much about myself while in treatment. I almost died from this disease. At my lowest and most desperate, Riverside took me in and helped show me new life. I went through inpatient, PHP, and IOP treatment thru Riverside. Every step and every phase of my experience was phenomenal. If there is a better treatment center out there (I’ve heard horror stories about others), I don’t know where it is. Riverside is staffed with people who are compassionate, attentive, knowledgable, and incredibly professional- from the housekeeping staff to therapists, nurses, and administrative staff. They really do care and they are all excellent at what they do. Any expectations I could have had were exceeded. From the top down, this organization is phenomenal. Maintenance and cleaning staff kept the facility in immaculate condition. Therapists provided insightful and practical individual and group therapy. They gave me a safe, hospitable place to recover, helped me see inside myself, and provided the tools and resources to give me the best chance possible at persistent recovery. The food and amenities were well above par. I even spoke with the clinical director on multiple occasions. Every facet of this organization is finely tuned toward the end goal of client recovery. If you or a loved one need the help that I needed, I can’t recommend Riverside enough. I could not have done this without them. I will be forever grateful to Riverside Recovery of Tampa for giving me and my family a new chance at life and a brighter future.

The staff and employees here held themselves to a very high standard. The bar in Florida is very low, but what you will find here is comparable to any legitimately accredited facility nationwide where the market for treatment is scarce and heavily regulated by state and local authorities. The therapists here are very professional and highly educated, offering real modalities to their clients adapting to any and most every circumstance. These people are the real deal and they hold themselves accountable, with a workplace culture of integrity being very evident. I had issues with my insurance company, but I would definitely recommend to anyone who is serious about treatment.

Riverside Recovery was an unforgettable experience in my recovery journey. The staff were the absolute best on the planet. Both profession and polite it was as if l became part of a family. They provided important discoveries in the underlying issues that continued to interupt my recovery journey. They provided a veterans group for special needs with past traumas while in the military. Also provided family therapy for me and my daughter. Which was much needed and l am forever grateful for. Last but not least. I still attend Alumni mtg's once a month for contniued commardarie with the Riverside Recovery family. Riverside Recovery has been truly a blessing in my life. 🙏🏼

Great place for recovery. The staff was marvelous, the food, therapy both mental and physical was amazing. They teach you to meditate, learn tools to use even after leaving. I have very happy and sober thanks to the entire staff at Riverside. Thank you for my new and wonderful life! ❤️

Riverside Recovery was completely disorganized. At discharge, they lost my medication, leaving me without what I was prescribed. The staff took no responsibility and offered no real solution. This kind of negligence is unacceptable—stay away.

It is my absolute pleasure to take the time to write this letter of recognition for the exceptional staff and team at Riverside Recovery. Life can be incredibly challenging when battling a mental health issue, such as alcoholism, but from the very first moment I checked into Riverside Recovery, I knew—even in my clouded state of mind—that I was in the right hands for recovery.
The team at Riverside Recovery works one-on-one with every individual, regardless of how many patients are in the facility. The food and snacks are beyond reproach; you simply cannot find a better place to be served three or more meals a day, depending on your choice. Even the food team that comes in to prepare and serve the meals treats you with respect, knowing you by name—something virtually unheard of in today’s world where many people won't even look you in the eye.
The counselors at Riverside Recovery have pushed me further ahead in my journey of sobriety than I ever could have imagined. Each person I met genuinely seemed to care about me personally and my well-being. My counselor, Will, made communicating my thoughts during my 30-day stay feel comfortable and natural. Writing my life story was stressful, but Will reassured me that he was by my side every step of the way, providing guidance and suggestions without rewriting my story. With all the changes incorporated, I felt at ease sharing my story with other patients in my group.
Throughout my brief period at the facility, every staff member I worked with treated me with the utmost respect and kindness, making me feel like part of the Riverside family. Even after completing my recovery, I enjoy visiting Riverside Recovery from time to time just to have a pleasurable conversation with the team.
If you’re struggling with mental health issues, this is the facility for you. Don’t go at it alone—get the help you need, and trust that these people will get you back on track in life and stick with you even after recovery.
