I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding a recent misdelivery and the unprofessional manner in which it was handled by your staff.
According to your team, the misdelivery occurred either last Tuesday or perhaps a day or two ago. The package was placed directly in our mailbox. My husband is typically the one who checks the mail. If it’s something needed for the house, he usually opens it right away or brings it inside. If it appears to be something for his business, he may take it to his workplace and open it there a day or two later.
I had no idea the package didn’t belong to us until a mail carrier came to our home today and informed me it had been misdelivered. I told the mailperson that I would check with my husband and other family members and get back to them. I immediately contacted both, and my husband told me he had taken the box to his store, assuming it was a business-related item. Upon opening it, he realized it wasn’t something he had ordered and said he would bring it back home after work.
Wanting to resolve the situation promptly, I went to his store myself, picked up the package, and returned it to the post office.
Let me be absolutely clear: we had no intention of keeping or mishandling someone else’s mail. As soon as we realized the mistake, we acted quickly and responsibly to correct it. Yes, the package should have been checked more carefully before opening—we acknowledge that. But the package was in our mailbox, and under normal circumstances, there was no immediate reason to doubt it belonged to us.
What was especially upsetting, however, was not just the lack of a basic apology for the inconvenience caused by your error, but the condescending and sarcastic tone I encountered. In particular, the female supervisor—whose name I did not catch—made a pointed, mocking comment: “Oh, so you even opened the package?” The implication was that we had done something deliberately suspicious or dishonest, which I found completely inappropriate and offensive.
Had your staff simply begun the conversation with a courteous and professional acknowledgment of their own mistake, we would have been more than willing to apologize for ours. But instead, we were treated as if we had intentionally tampered with someone else's property—when in fact, it was your failure in delivery that caused the confusion and inconvenience in the first place.
To be spoken to in such a disrespectful and accusatory manner, without any accountability on your part, was not only disappointing—it was unacceptable. I expect your team to seriously reflect on how such situations are handled, and how you speak to customers—especially when the initial fault lies with your own service.

Place isn't even open, and of course the morons that run USPS can't change the hours on their website to reflect it. I can't wait until you all get replaced by amazon drivers.

Package was never delivered to me and the carrier was nasty and rude. I guess he can't chew gum and answer a question. I did put in service request in. Check on it and it said it was resolved. The lady that was handled didn't care. All she was worried about was her vacation. No package and no answers. I guess the carrier stolen the package. We need a new mail system post office isn't cutting it. It was not resolved. Everytime my regular guy is off. You send your worse carriers to deliver the mail. They park in a spot and sleep or you can't ask a question because you get a nasty answer and person so rude that you want to tell them off.
The UPS needs to do better. All they ever do is tell you lies. FedEx and UPS will be my business.

I took a package to be mailed to my sister in Pennsylvania. The clerk kept saying there's no such address. I insisted he was wrong. He kept saying there's no such address. My sister lived there for over 25 or 30 years. I called her. Yes she still lives there. I went to another teller and had no problem mailing the package to that address. He still works there.?????
