We have just had a wonderful two weeks at the beautiful Island Bay Resort. Steve and Sue couldn’t do more to give us a great vacation. Their attention to detail made it a fantastic place to go, we will definitely book again in the future. Tony and Andrea from the UK.

This was our 5th year staying at Island Bay Resort, we love it so much. It’s such a relaxing place to stay, the grounds are well kept & it’s just beautiful. There are so many themed details in each cottage. If you are looking for a lively place with a tiki bar, this isn’t it. It’s in a great location between Key Largo & Islamorada with lots of amazing restaurants & Blonde Giraffe for the best key lime pie is right down the road. There’s a small kitchen & a BBQ to cook as well. Sue & Steve are gracious hosts & Emily who cleans the rooms is a sweetheart. Can’t wait to go back again next year!

Quaint little resort. Very well maintained grounds. It’s like a little tropical paradise. It has a very warm vibe. The couple running it do a good job. Steve was constantly maintaining the grounds and was very friendly. The only drawbacks for me were the rooms were a bit on the small side, parking was tight, and despite their best efforts at creating a great little waterfront area it just felt a little too tight for my preference. The waterfront part was nice but has a pretty small beach. We used their beach area just one of the 5 days we were there. My wife and I ventured out on other days. For the price it was a pleasant, clean, and a safe place to stay.

We spent 2 nights at Island Bay Resort and we wished we booked our whole trip there! We were so pleasantly surprised at how nice the place was for the affordable price. It was like a private tropical oasis. The private beach area was very inviting with beach chairs and sitting areas strategically placed so you had your space from other people but there was still plenty of room for everyone staying there. The resort has a gate that you get a code for before you arrive. This made you feel safe and kept things private & quiet during your stay. The owners were so friendly and hospitable. We stayed in cabin 9 and we were happy with it. It's just the perfect size for a short stay. The cabin was very clean and smelled fresh. The towels and bedding smelled amazing! We will definitely be back if we get the opportunity to travel to The Keys again! Highly recommend!

This was our sixth visit in the past nine years, and the resort remains just as stunning and relaxing as the first time. The beach is exceptionally clean, with plenty of seating options for a perfect day of lounging or swimming. There are numerous activities to enjoy, including kayaking, paddleboarding, floating, and snorkeling.
The grounds are beautifully maintained, adding to the peaceful and inviting atmosphere. The cottage is well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the cooler and grill are thoughtful additions to the amenities. Steve and Sue are fantastic hosts, always ready to assist with anything you may need. We can't wait to return!

Island Bay Resort is truly a slice of paradise. The serenity and peacefulness you experience here are second to none. The private beach offers a perfect escape, allowing you to unwind with ease. The room is equipped with everything you need and then some, making your stay incredibly comfortable. The property is clean and impeccably maintained, reflecting the care and dedication put into the resort.
There's plenty to do in the area, ensuring that your days are filled with activities and exploration. Sue and Steve are amazing hosts, going above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Their hospitality adds a special touch to the whole experience.
This place is nothing short of magical and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a tranquil getaway.

Island Bay is a little slice of paradise! We just returned from a 3-night stay. While we didn’t get to meet Steve, we met Sue and she couldn’t have been nicer. The private beach is immaculate, with comfortable chairs, umbrellas, hammocks, and a dock. We used the kayaks and really enjoyed having the opportunity to do so. We were in cottage #5, Bahia Honda. It was very clean and we liked how private and quiet the resort was. It was the perfect winter getaway and we hope to be back again someday!

This was the cutest little place. Last minute pick and couldn’t have been more satisfied. The property managers are so nice!! The room was clean, bed was so comfortable and the sheets and towels smelled so good! The private beach was just the cherry on top. Well maintained and so peaceful. I will for sure be booking again!!

I found my happy place here. It's like a mini resort with no resort or parking fees, plus personal concierge service from super friendly hosts, Sue and Steve. Our room was cozy, with a full kitchen and was serviced daily. The grounds are meticulously maintained daily, with plenty of lounge chairs, extra tables, games and the amenities right outside our door. Memorable activities: morning coffee under the palms, watching the fish in the water from the dock after dark, and paddle boarding. My husband says he got the best massage ever in the tiki hut on the beach here.

The hotel is a dream. Super clean, super discreet, but a bit noisy at night because of the street.
Very nicely furnished apartment. We had number 8 (Islamorada) with an extra kitchen and living room.
The king-size bed was comfortable and enough for 2 people.
Everything was very clean.
No meals are offered. Each apartment has a grill (charcoal).
Very friendly staff. Sue at the reception and Steve were super friendly and always had an open ear for their guests.
The roommaid did a great job too, everything was very clean.
Super clean private beach that is only available to guests (maximum 20 people).
You can use stand-up paddling, kayaks and pedal boats here for free. Everything in good condition.
We higly recommend coming here and we will come back for sure to escape from the cold winter in Germany.

We had a great stay at Island Bay Resort on Thanksgiving weekend. Sue and Steve are perfect hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They even cooked Thanksgiving dinner for all their guests! Thank you. We will be back.
