Our boat storage went up $20.00 in January and we just received a letter that starting in August it’s going up another $50.00. $70.00 in less than a year yet we have been waiting over 3 months for a power pole and keep being told 12 weeks out every time we call about it. Do better if your going to raise prices that much and not give anything more for it.

Great sales staff but horrible service . What good is buying a boat if you cant get it fixed at this location in Venice FL. I since found a reputable mechanic to fix my Boston Whalers . I tried 4 times to book a service appointment and they said the same thing every time, we cant get at it for 2 weeks . Wow wont see me here again . By the way I own 4 whalers .

I purchased a 246 sea fox commander back in 2016. I had a great experience with Tim who has since passed.I sold my my boat after 2 years. I went back and was looking at some boats.A salesman named Mike came over and ask if I needed help. I explained I was looking at some boats and inquired about a Harris pontoon. He asked if I lived in the area since I was driving a rental with Missouri plates. I explained that I had previously purchased a boat and stored it with them. I asked if a brochure was available, and was told no and it takes 3 to 4 months to have one ordered. I guess since I was not driving a nice, expensive car he could care less. I am in the market to purchase a Harris pontoon which is not cheap, at least 100k.Well you lost a sale and I will never step foot back to marine max. Never Jude a Book by the Cover

Thanks to Tim Blanchard and chris shanabrook. They made my buying experience so easy. Tim went above and beyond to find me a great trailer and even took it to get it serviced for me since I wasn’t local. Chris was very patient with all our finance questions. I’d recommend marine max Venice to anyone looking to purchase a new or used boat. We had dealt with a lot of shady dishonest brokers and sellers before we met Tim, and he was really great to work with.

Nice location. Convenient to the Intercoastal and the Gulf. Staff are friendly and helpful! If you need maintenance they are a full service marina. The Salty Dog is dog friendly and has a nice outdoor area overlooking the marina, food is Americana, with seafood mixed in...the Grouper Sandwich is generous and well prepared. Add them to your list for good food and great people!

I have had problems with Marine Max from the moment we bought our boat. As much as I have had to deal with them I can tell you that None of the departments communicate, it's obvious there is some division between departments. I will say the manager helped me with my first huge problem. The manager had to give us a new salesperson since the first one couldn't do his job properly and sold us the wrong trailer for our boat. We tried to tell the salesman several times but he didn't help. Next, we paid for a simrad to get installed. The technician did not zip tie the dangling cords from underneath the steering wheel. As soon as we took the boat out, it was not working correctly, cutting in and out of power. We took it back in and they said We needed to pay for new box. which is hanging upside down with several cables hanging from it which obviously, with gravity and hitting waves, the cords pulled the box down. The technician could of told us we needed a new one when he was installing it OR maybe have just installed it right, zipptieing the cords up so it doesn't put constant strain on the box. Just to let you know, anytime you have a problem you have to speak to a specific department because again the departments there do not communicate with each other. It's not about the customer as a whole. It's like going to different business for different things. I asked the service guy when I went in to pay the bill and drop off our boat for a yearly checkup (we thought one more chance 4th time!) about the bill and how I don't feel like we should be paying, no surprise he said "I am not a manager but you can vent to me" It was obvious he wanted nothing to do with any issues I had again for the 4th time proving there is no communication among departments there. I even told him that I would like to resolve it as I am giving reviews online as well as many reviews that were sent to me through marine max.... He could care less and began talking about our new service with the engine. I ask locals on Facebook for other recommendations and got a ton for boat mechanics. We bought into marine max thinking we were buying into a place we can call home with our boating needs especially since we plan to upgrade (it's our first boat) I now realize it will be much easier to just go to different business for my boating needs.Update, they still suck. We took our boat in for $1,600 tuneup and cables replaced. We asked before hand to get out boat hours. Didn't receive in the paperwork. Emailed twice. They left a message. Mike, i believe, in the service department, still talking demeaning to me like last time. He said, "We couldn't give you the boat hours because the machine that does that was out for repairs." Then dead silence....I said that's something we requested. You could have told us. He said (not kidding) well, computers break down....silence.....I said how can I get my hours on the motor. he said he would DO ME A FAVOR (ha ha) and have me bring my boat in on Saturday (a boat day) and they would look for us. I can't make this up guys. I have given poor reviews on this place for over a year. They apparently don't care to check on reviews. THE DEPARTMENTS DON'T COMMUNICATE------NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS----NO IMPROVEMENT ON LOCATIONS. Beware!!!Dealt with Marine Max 5 times and all 5 were a headache and disappointment. Maybe they only care about the people spending the big bucks. Not for the average Joe. Maybe Big Toys??? That's our next choice. I did read a review from an employee on Glassdoor that said their main concern is a boat sale, after that...good luck.

stopped into the Venice Marine Max to show our friend's where we bought our new Searay, as we were docking the forklift driver confronted us and informed us that we could NOT dock our boat because they were too busy with other boats and had no room. Basically kicked us out. Again we wanted to show our friend's the selection of available boats, and view the facility. Apparently once you buy a new boat from Marine Max certain employees (Brutus the forklift driver) no longer treat you as a preferred customer. We were very disappointed on our approach (and embarrassed with our guest's)This experience may have cost Marine Max a future sale....however that particular employee should be trained in "customer service". Won't obtain repeat business with that kind of attitude. When we originally took delivery of our SeaRay the salesman said we were always welcome and had docking preference. (?)

Pete, the service manager, has always been extremely professional and made my experiences with service awesome. He's tech smart and a very good people person. He runs a wonderful service department. If you ever have a service question, ask Pete. As always, I'll keep bringing my Sea Ray back to Marine Max Venice!

Recently we requested to dry dock for a few hours to clean the bottom of our boat. I was referred to Lori the dock master and she was more than accommodating and polit . When I arrived at the fuel dock I filled up and told the dock mate Mike that I had set up an appointment with Lori. He immediately got with the lift people and had me sitting on the dry in five minute . The lift people were kind enough to loan us gloves and a roller chair to sit o . All went well and when done back in the water 5 minutes late . 1st class operation

Great little marina where you can buy a boat, lease a boat or store your boat. (You can also get a wonderful plate of food at the Old Salty Dog restaurant nearby!)
