Food City is one of my favorite grocery stores. Full stop.
This location is NOT!
Went to the deli to purchase a pound of roast beef and Swiss. Had to wait almost 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me!
2 giggle girls were at the hot deli side just having the time of their lives dishing on the latest greatest whatever. One worker was slicing pizza and then went into the back and was never seen again. I was then greeted by Seth. When I asked him if I could get some help in the deli meat section, he promptly said, "Hold on a sec." And then he too disappeared behind the wall.
When he reappeared, I will say, he was polite and handled my order correctly.
I was going to speak to the manager and let them know how unprofessional the giggle girls and pizza lady were, but while checking out I noticed several workers and the manager hanging out up front just having a full on laugh fest while ignoring the customers around them.
Absolutely the worst experience at a Food City.
Do better.

The staff is really friendly and the store layout is perfect. You can actually get through the aisles without having to bump into everything. Great shopping experience that’s family oriented.

I shop at this location frequently. This review is specifically about the salad and food bar. I have gone now 3 times in the last 2 months for dinner. Why…because the salad/soup/food bar is a great affordable choice for dinner. However, the past 3 times I have been. All between 7:20 a 7:30. The bar is either closed, the employee was cleaning it up as I looked right at the bar to get something to eat, or half the food was gone. I asked an employee what time do they typically close the food bar. She said ummm…typically between 8 or 9. This last time I looked at watch and it was 7:34 pm. Come on Food City. If you are going to put the bar out. Atleast do your customers a courtesy and put a sign with the time that it will be closing.
Had the same issue with the meat department when the store first opened. Meats being put away early as well.
Why is this an issue for me…well Food City charges a premium price for what I would call a premium selection. Why continue to shop here when I can go to Ingles down the road and guarantee the meat and food bar will be open?

Things always ring up the wrong price here. Every order,at least one thing. Then instead of just being helped, you get questioned over and over.
They also have issues with rotating products and you really have to check dates on things because they may have literally expired a month ago.

Stores great except for the wing bar and the buffalo wings specifically I have no idea how these things were made or how long ago they were made but I kid you not it caused DAYS of issues for me and this isn’t the first time I have them the benefit of the doubt the first time but for your own benefit STAY AWAY FROM THE WINGS.
