The team at Flyin Wrench is awesome! Patrick was great to work with when I brought my car in for a SES code that had me scared. His communication, thoroughness, and prices have created a customer out of me.

**Update** car started having major cooling issues within 300 miles of motor build. From what I can tell the thermostat is not working properly. While diagnosing that I found 3+ loose connections that were not done at time of install; I have plenty of follow up work to do. The guys who work there are great but this project is not their best work. Hopefully you all do not have the same experience as I do.Used Flyin Wrench to assemble and install an m20b25 motor I had previously removed and disassembled back into my e30. Matt did a great job with the motor build - the thing looks brand new and it runs great! They had the car for about 2.5 weeks. Motor was balanced/built in like 3 days, install took about 2 weeks but did require a revisit.Reasons for the 3 star review:1) they under quoted the job by a pretty significant amount. It was almost double what they initially estimated it’d be, and then informed me of an additional credit card fee the day I went to pick it up which was another couple hundred bucks.2) A few accessory pieces (i.e. washer fluid reservoir) were not reinstalled and required a revisit.3) getting call backs was tough. I found myself calling them to follow up on most things.4) the screws holding the bumper valence went missing (not a big deal) but they didn’t have any spares to put it back on… hard to understand why a mechanic shop wouldn’t be able to accommodate this. Ultimately they found 2 non-standard ones to hold in place until I could get to ACE and get my own, but for the price I paid this should have been a non-issue.5) During the drive back for the revisit, a coolant hose they had re-used burst and the car began to overheat and needed a tow. Wish they would have purchased new hoses the first time rather than charge me another $250 to fix one later on; labor was already paid for during round 1. I should have done it myself however the car was already up there for the revisit mentioned above and they went ahead with the fix before telling me what it would cost. They did mention they’d pay for the tow truck and I am waiting on a check in the mail - tbd.

Oh yeah, these guys are pros. They used to take care of my Bimmers with style class and professionalism. Actually shed a tear when I had to move for business out of state. Haven't been able to find the same level of care since I left.

Been here last winter for a broken water pump on my bimmer. They fit me in same day due to the fact we have 3000 miles ahead going back to Canada. The work was done efficiently and everyone involved was more than helpful. They also checked the vehicle to make sure it won’t cause me any more trouble for our drive back north, and it was done free of charge— without me even asking. Recommend 10/10.

I couldn’t be happier with Flying Wrench and the efforts Patrick put in to help us out. The alternator went out on my sons 335i a few months back, so we stopped in at Flying Wrench to have it repaired. They did it perfectly well (about half the cost of other quotes) and very quickly! Fast forward two months, my son calls me from the side of the road with a dead car with all the symptoms of a failed alternator… I thought to myself, here we go, this is going to be painful and will cost me a bunch more money… NOPE! One call to Patrick and he said we’ll fix it, no charge, our parts and work are guaranteed. I was still somewhat skeptical figuring there’d be some crazy reason it failed that was our fault and the bill was coming… NOPE! Showed up, greeted with a smile and apology, the replacement alternator was faulty and replaced. Shook my hand and gave me the key with the assurance that they honor their work always. I couldn’t be happier and now have a new provider for all of my cars needs, along with a new expectation for how service should look!Service: Electrical

They did an upper pan gasket replacement on my 95E 34. Communication was good. Work appears to be good. The only complaint I have is a service charge on using your credit card for payment. Come on seriously!?

After taking my daughter's car to two shops, both of which immediately diagnosed the situation as a loud lifter ticking and wanted $1000- to better inspect the nature of the noise by removing the valve cover - i was not convinced they were suitable diagnosis to spend that kinda money on a may be! Specially not for an 06 BMW 325xi. So went for a third opinion and decided to give the Flyin team a try at their new location. Took it in for an inspection, $125 + tax. Turns our it was money well spent. Mike clearly understood it was more than a lifter issue and poked around under the valve cover with camera to locate the issue a broken lifter spring. They provided photo evidence and a quote to fix. All round very satisfied with their knowledge and professionalism. Will be using again.
