Update: Due to the response of the owner of this establishment, I feel inclined to respond.
The reason I didn’t go back to the salon is because I was hoping the damage wouldn’t be this extensive and I could grow it out in the next couple of months without a deep cut or unnecessary treatments. Obviously, that hasn’t been the case. As I mentioned before, I waited so long to leave a review because I really thought the treatment would wash out.
I’m also surprised by the microaggression of the owner calling a name difficult. A two syllable name, difficult? A concerning comment and a poor reflection of the establishment. However, the point of my comment was to point out how my stylist didn’t even remember me at all and I should’ve taken that as sign. I’ve definitely been more than once a year.
I was attempting to give this salon grace by not saying anything sooner but the gaslighting, minimizing, and passive aggressive reply to a loyal customer that now has to cut 12+ inches of her hair is beyond disbelief and should be a major red flag to old and new clientele as one may find themselves in a chop shop, not Crafted salon.
I’ve gotten my hair cut several times before here, all experiences ranging from average to an amazing haircut; usually done by the same person. My last experience was by far the worst, with issues I’m still dealing with to this day. I got a choppy, uneven haircut with blunt layers, along with a subpar blowout. When I went home, I immediately washed my hair to style it on my own because the blowout was terrible and my hair was already frizzing up and I realized just how different my hair felt. It was incredibly stiff even after straightening it, which I have never experienced before. I remembered my stylist mentioned putting in a treatment in my hair, one I didn’t ask for but trusted her fully. Well that treatment caused irreparable damage to my hair, I had soft manageable hair before and now it is stiff, straw like, and tangles easily. I will not be back. I should have gotten up and left when my stylist introduced herself to me and asked how to pronounce my name- even though she had cut my hair several times and we were familiar with each other. I understand we all have our off days, but now I’m considering cutting almost all my hair off due to her negligence. For context, my hair is not color treated and I rarely heat style it- there’s no other factor that could have played in resulting in this damage. I resisted posting a negative review hoping my hair would eventually recover but it has not. I can’t even run my fingers through my hair without breakage, I don’t know what else to do.

Lawrenceville's gem of a salon! The stylists are incredibly talented and always exceed expectations. They listen attentively, offer expert advice, and always deliver stunning results. The salon's ambiance is serene and the staff is friendly and professional. While appointments may book up quickly, it's well worth the wait for such exceptional service.

They are always booked out 30 days and the website is frustrating. You have to click on each individual hairstylist to see their availability. Im sure they are great but it is just frustrating trying to book an appointment and not knowing my schedule a month out.

Christina is fantastic. Best hair cuts I've ever gotten. When I first went to her in 2023, she suggested some changes to my existing style. I love what she did! It's easy for me style and I got a lot of compliments on my new 'do.

I had an amazing experience at this barber shop/hair salon in Lawrenceville! The hairstylist did a great job and I will definitely be coming back. This is the best salon I have found in Gwinnett County and I will definitely be a long time customer.

Such a beautiful space, i felt so welcomed getting my hair done. They are super professional and have the clients interested in mind. Absolutely recommend this salon to anyone in the hunt in downtown lawrenceville.

Highly recommend this salon. Christina is a wonderful stylist. I've had a few different styles of cuts and highlights. Every appointment I leave with a beautiful cut and color. Look forward to every appointment.

Great salon and atmosphere. Didn’t love the stylist I had. They did an okay job but definitely a rude vibe. I don’t think they work there anymore though. I will have to try the salon out with a different stylist to do my hair next time I go.

Salon is nice, clean and welcoming. Matt was fabulous! He did such a great job with my hair. He has such a fun, bubbly personality and he was very informative and knowledgeable. He walked me through every step he took with my hair and he listened to everything I wanted to do. I've been looking for someone who can work with my long curly hair. So happy i finally found the one! Thank you, Matt! ❤️❤️❤️
