The pharmacist at Walmart are very helpful and friendly. They have a $4 prescription lists for medical problems like depression, high blood pressure as well as other conditions. They seem to get really busy from 5:00 pm til closing. Be prepared to stand in line for some time if you visit after 5:00 pm. If your not physically able to stand for long periods of time it's good to go earlier or have someone else to pick your prescription up for you.

If you are a Walmart hater, then everything you hate about it is alive and well at this pharmacy. In order to save a few bucks, you get to stand in a line in order to PAY for your Rx, then go stand in a SECOND line for a MANDATORY consultation before they handover the property that already belongs to you. If you have an urgent need for your drug, then DO NOT SHOP HERE. If your time has value, then DO NOT SHOP HERE.

Changed my review, they had shorted my prescription but pharmacist called to say they had to by law. Nobody explained this at the time, as they should have, so, 4 stars instead of my original 1. She was very nice, as were the staff.

They were extremely busy (Sunday, seemingly understaffed) and I couldn't believe how much time, care and thoughtfulness they still gave me. What wonderful people.

The Walmart Pharmacy in Oakwood, Georgia, is where I get meds to treat diabetes. Recently, I needed to fill a medication from my doctor on a Friday afternoon. This pharmacy didn't have it in stock and my doctor's office did not respond to repeated phone calls and fax messages. The pharmacist, TJ, went out of his way to fill my medication, and called me twice to make sure that I received it and that I was feeling better. One week later, my doctor called to ask the same questions. That's how I compare the service between TJ at the Walmart Pharmacy in Oakwood, GA, and my doctor's office in Gainesville. TJ cares and finds a way to serve those who use the Walmart pharmacy. My doctor? Not so much.

I have been going to this pharmacy for years. I have never had a problem with them. They have been professional, and helpful with all the questions I have. They work crazily trying to get all the prescriptions done. They text me when they are ready. I am thoroughly satisfied with the job they do.

Every member of the pharmacy staff was personable and kind. Before they gave me my prescription they made sure that I had time to speak with the pharmacist on duty, Dr. Patel. He was also very personable and made sure I had all of the information I needed. I was very please with the service I received here at Walmart! April 19, 12:30 pm.

Don't even bother asking the black pharmacist lady a question because she'll just give you an attitude for 1 question. And this is not even about race I just don't know her name. But I had asked if it was okay to take some medicine while pregnant and gave me hell about it. Saying I can't just take whatever I want I need to take whatever the doctor said I can take and what not. But it was too late to call them so I figured I would ask her since it's her job. Big mistake !

So unprofessional! I will never come here again! Came to pick up my grandmas HEART medicine that I called in around 2pm today. I got here at 6:30pm and they said that the Gainesville Walmart didn't approve the transfer. So why wasn't I notified? I called Gainesville Walmart and they said the transfer was approved, but the Oakwood employees said that they couldn't do anything. They were rushing around trying to hurry up and close before more customers come. Very unprofessional.

Reason 10,378 not to EVER use Walmart. Employees could not care less about you. Went to pick up a prescription today and there was no one in the pick up line. Lucky me! Not. 4 technicians in the back and all saw me there yet made me waiting 7 mins and had to said "Can I get some help" and the lead technician said "can someone get up front". 2 techs talking away, one on the phone and lead tech on his computer ignoring the world. A girl who looked like she was 15 years old came up to the counter finally and got my info and prescription. She told me the price and I let her know that the dr texted me a coupon when they sent my prescription straight to Walmart. She said i would have to go to the Drop off line because she can't do it there. That line was 7 people deep and had not moved the whole time i was there. I asked if there was any other way to get it taken care of so i dont have to wait again and she had my meds in her hand! She said no that I had to get into the other line. I told her I wasn't going to and I will come back another time. Horrible service, technician that care more about chit chat then about doing there job or helping the 7 people in line. Going to get these meds and go back to anywhere else but Walmart.
