I never have to wait long before I go. If you check in online before you walk in you get priority of over walk-ins too! I have liked the cuts I get here and this is now my go-to place.

I've never really liked Great Clips due to past experiences but due to an immediate need for a haircut, I went. Tammy was my stylist and once I explained my preference she went to town. I like a scissor cut all the way around, no clippers; and she did just that, and did it well. I've been back two more times and will keep coming back as long as she's working. She takes great care of me and others, as do the rest of the staff as far as I can tell. The place is extremely clean and there is a wait just about every day, but for good reason. I've never sat too long.

So, I'll preface this by saying it was Christmas Eve, but still, I don't think this was right.... I checked in before 2:30 pm using the app and got a wait time of 25 minutes. I had one errand yet to do and so I went and did it. While doing that, I got a text message, which I asked to receive, to let me know when it was my turn and it said, 15 minutes to go...That was at 2:39pm. I headed for the shop and opened up the app again to see how much time was left and it showed 10 minutes. Then, all of a sudden my appt was gone, like I had missed my slot. So I checked in again, which it let me do, and it showed a minute wait. I pulled into the lot, parked and immediately went to the door which was locked. People were still inside, getting haircuts too and so I thought they had it locked because of Covid... A girl came and opened the door and told me they were closed. I said I checked in online, and she said that the app was "supposed to" stop taking appts at 2:30 and besides, they close at 3. I said, I'm standing right here and it's not 3 o'clock yet, but you aren't going to take me even though i checked in before 2:30 and I'm at your door? I was told no, the manager said so. At this point, I went back to my car and by the time I got back I decided to call and talk to the manager. I asked her the same question about how I could check in before 2:30, be standing at the door before closing time and be denied a haircut. She proceeded to tell me about the holiday hours and how i had all day to come and get a haircut. I mean, that's MY business when I choose to visit an establishment and I arrived BEFORE closing time but was refused service. I would understand if I was late, or I checked in AFTER the cutoff (which the app didn't do because the manager didn't update the hours) but I was there, on time for my appointment which they purposefully deleted because they wanted to leave early. And yes, I understand that's a store manager's prerogative to close early, but not when you have customers with appointments that arrive before closing time. And again, I understand, it's X-mas Eve, but you don't just say, I'm just going to close early and screw my customers that have an appointment! It would be different if I had just been a walk-up, no appointment, but I followed the rules and was left hanging... And I will add, that the store hours were not updated for New Year's Eve either!! In any case, she lost my business.

I took my 1 year old son here for a haircut and Chance cut his hair. He did a super good job and was so patient with my son! I’d definitely recommend him, especially if you have kids. Thank you so much!Also a really nice lady got him a balloon because he was scared, thank you so much. Y’all really made my day today.
