Us Hawaii folk like to be sad about not having an REI on island, but between Uloha and Climb Aloha, our bases are pretty covered. Very good selection of outdoor gear crammed into a tiny space. They even have a bunch of Uloha logo merch, in the form of shirts, hats, Nalgenes, sleeping bags, and more. Helpful sales staff.

Great selection, staff super helpful. Prices are a bit on the high side compared to getting things online, but I rather support local small businesses. Mahalos for a good experience.

Cool shopping experience for outdoor gear. Don’t be fooled though, I recently purchased trail running shoes here and they fell apart the first time they were used. I contacted the store owner and management right away about the issue and was told they would get me a new pair after dealing with the manufacturer. I have followed up multiple times to get the shoes replaced and was blown off. Pretty bad let down for a new customer. I will not be making another purchase here again and warn others, if there’s a problem with your brand new gear, well then your S.O.L. these guys won’t help you out.

Super helpful and knowledgeable staff. My partner and I took up about an hour of their time looking at different hiking shoes and they were nothing but patient and friendly.

I understand shipping to Hawaii is expensive and I really wish I could buy more items from Uloha. They have everything you need. I buy all my trail running shoes there. Employees are always kind and helpful. Owner is a nice guy.

Amazing store, huge selection, kind employees, clean layout, and they even have a rock wall for testing climbing equipment! Best hiking / climbing equipment store I’ve been to in my life.

Incredible customer service! Went out of their way to special order an item and got it here in two days! They've got a huge inventory of gear, and a very knowledgeable staff. But if they don't have what you're looking for, they can probably get for you faster than ordering from the mainland. Shop local!

An excellent selection of real high quality hiking gear for people serious about outdoor adventures. The staff was super knowledgeable and avid hikers themselves. I got a second pair of my favorite trail running shoes here. I also had my questions about local trails answered kindly and professionally. This is the best place on the island to get your gear and resupply before heading mauka.
