So we went there a second time as first experience was a little rough but hey it was Valentines Day so we thought we'd give it another try. First there were no strawberries on the Upcountry Salad apparently you had run out and was not brought to my attention as I would not have order it. Second I specifically requested that the angle hair posts be substituted with HOME MADE LINGUINE noodles for two orders of CAPELLINI ALLA CHECCA with shrimp. The food was brought to our table w/o the substitutions. Then when asked about our plates were removed but left the third dish behind leaving one person eating while others watched and then that person watching us eat once error was fixed. Third it was our granddaughters birthday they acknowledged and sang happy birthday at another table but did not do so for us, though they did provide 1 complimentary desert (where as I might of comped three seeing you charged for everything else despite the screw ups). I like the food but the services still is lacking. I don't know if re I'm end this place to my friends of if I'll return as we are 0-2 with the service here.

I was incredibly disappointed that after seeing “home made gluten free pasta” listed on the menu, I was told that they had run out. At 6:30pm on a Saturday night! This basically eliminated half the menu for me. When I asked about this, the waiter said they had been out all week. Okay... please don't advertise that you serve gluten free pasta if you don't always have it in stock. Since I also have seafood allergies, that eliminated another 25% of the menu. And because I wasn't going to pay $50 for steak or chicken with potatoes and vegetables, I ended up with a chicken Caesar salad. Thankfully the crème brûlée for dessert was very good! But I was heart broken when the Italian restaurant told me that I couldn't eat pasta, even though gluten free pasta was listed on the menu.

First off, it's VERY hard to find. Our gps took us to a large bank building, and we circled it looking for a sign. Nothing we could find. Then we saw a longish corridor disappearing into the building, and some diners at a table. We entered what must have been the back door, but we never found the front door. The interior was sort of unusual and pretty chilly. It's divided into 3 rooms, and each seems to have a different decor. Our waitress Jess was extremely nice. The staff in general was very nice. We had a happy hour pepperoni pizza ($14 and pretty good, but nothing outstanding or out-of-the-ordinary), a happy hour carafe of chianti ($7 and a great deal for 2 full glasses of wine), a happy hour sparkling rose (also $7 but in a normal glass), and angel hair with shrimp ($22 but it was rather tasteless and definitely needed more sauce or a more tasty sauce.) If you're headed to the nearby Maui cultural center for a concert, this might be a good choice. Otherwise, Bistro Casanova is rather average, and you can find other options that might be more memorable.

We had the best dining experience from start to finish. Mahalos to Michael, Riley, Betty and Chef Johnny Bacay for the best dining experience we could've asked for! The entire staff was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food and service was AMAZING! We will be back!!!

Arrived very early for our reservation but was accommodated cheerfully. Booked outside but it was windy and cool - greeter seated us inside after a short wait. The linguini, ravioli and lasagne were all superb. We've been dining here for years and always look forward to a great meal, lunch or dinner.

Had a great time started out looking like we were going o have problem as it took the hostess 20mins to seat us then she did so at an uncleaned table. Once table was cleaned services improved steadily. Food was GREAT!

Delightful food, friendly service. The pasta tasted handmade. The salad had local ingredients and was creative. Expensive sure, but you get plenty of food and anyway everything is expensive on the islands especially now. We were there for Valentine's Day so it was busy but we never felt we were neglected.

We sat outside, which as described in other reviews, is not scenic, as the restaurant is located on a busy corner. The service was fairly prompt despite the fact that all the outdoor tables were seated at the same time, due to the show at the MACC. The food was very good despite the fact that they ran out of the item my wife ordered at 6pm. I would recommend for good Italian food but the environment is just OK.

A rare gem tucked away under an office building in Kahalui, Casanova Bistro consistently serves up fresh seafood, amazing tapas, crafty cocktails, and Italian entrees.

Great Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Real Italian Chef and Owner. Tapas change each week. The Paella is delicious!. The gluten-free pasta is as good as "real" pasta. Happy hour pizza and drinks were also fun. Can be a great night out OR great pre flight dinner in Kahului before departure.

We used to love coming here all the time! However a previous visit left us waiting 1.5 hours before they let us know our main dish was being made. Unfortunately we had to leave soon and had cancel the order because we didn't expect to be there for two hours. I understand no one is perfect so we gave it another try! Unfortunately, the same thing happened. We sat at 545p. Then waited from 620p (when we put our main order in) until 740p when they let us know about the timing. We had to cancel the order and leave again, which is so lame! The food is amazing here. I just wish the service was what it used to be. We will be giving it another chance though because the food is so good.

Wow, the food is very good and close to the airport. I had the ahi tuna special and it was so good I forgot to stop and take a picture. My wife had a gluten-free pasta with garlic shrimp. We will be back
