Came back for the poke. Got two poke bowls that come with 2 types of poke and a scoop of rice ($12). Can't go wrong with choosing the poke that looks like it is about the run out. The salmon shoyu was good. The fresh tuna poke with sea beans was so-so. The kimchi poke was interesting! The fresh tuna shoyu poke was also good. The supermarket itself was decent, with a lot of fresh food and selection. I also picked some crab inari from the sushi section (a bit too cold), but very affordable.

Poke at Foodland beats all poke from restaurants! The poke here is so good, especially after a long flight. The prices are right and you can get a variety of poke for a decent price! I recommend getting a bag of Maui chips and eating it together with the ahi tuna. My favorite was the scallops which were so flavorful!!

It's so amazing that you can find such good poke in a grocery store! There was a wide selection of yummy poke (they even had salmon!) and the price was amazing (compared to the mainland). Fish runs about $14-18 per pound and they do a poke platter which includes rice and your choice of two types of fish.

I always love foodland:) their prices is a bit cheaper than other grocery store :) beside that they have rewards if your makaii member. They also deduct the bag you have with you to the total of your grocery. There are times that they have promo that will fit your budget. So far i enjoy buying my food there.

We just went tonight and and as we approached the dairy department we was greeted and they were really friendly and good customer service (telling us about the sale and what we can get with the Maika'i Rewards), but as we went to the check out isle, we had two different transactions so we went to the express lane, but the cashier (young female lady not sure of her name) was so rude with no personality and didn't want to help us and told us to go to a different lane to pay for our groceries even though we told her we had two different transactions. I would of gave her a one star, the dairy department a five because of the customer service that we received in the dairy department. Anyways, it's closer to where we live and convenient. We love Oki's Seafood. They're the best and great customer service. Hard working and hustle. Great variety of selections of poke, saishimi, fish, etc. Overall, a four star, because of that cashier. I would of gave a five star if we wasn't treated poorly and if she had a better personality and customer service.

Best place to stop to get lunch to take with you on the plane!! They have great wrapped sanwiches and other great snacks you can take with you on our flight or eat while at the airport. It is also a great place to stope to get POKE, they have a great selection and the best price $8.38 for POKE from OKI's Seafood corner in the Foodland. Rice and Ahi for that price cannot be beaten.

This is my first stop whenever I come to any Hawaii islands. I always get the fresh ahi tuna . They always have the typical Hawaiian foods such as butter mochi, spam masubi, ahi tuna, and so much more! Be sure to sign up for the Foodland's discount card so you can save some money on vacation!

Visiting from Washington State and had to stop because a friend wanted me to bring back their Foodland grocery bag. This place is AMAZING!!! They had all my Asian snacks. The gentleman making fresh Sushi rolls was so friendly. I love great customer service. I can't wait to go back to Maui again.

Ridiculously high prices for pretty low quality items. We actually found that the prices in Kaanapali at a health food store were on par or less than Foodland and at a much higher quality. You won't save any money shopping here and it's not an all together nice shopping experience.

Every so often I head to this Foodland to pick up some goodies. Usually after work and school hours is when this spot gets super popular. What I appreciate about this location is that they are responsive to their lines (which I will say is kind of unusual nowadays, at least in my experience). When there are a lot of people waiting the staff usually will open another line to alleviate the wait or the customer service area for very small checkouts. If you are a free card member there are usually deals that are available. Checking for deals are a great way to get the best value. Their hot foods section is one of the better ones that I have been too. Lots of variety available and their dishes look fresher and better kept. Parking however is an issue since the lot is small in comparison to the traffic that they get.

This Foodland is located next to the Queen Ka'ahumanu Shopping Center and one of the main reasons I come here is that it's on my way home from work and isn't super out of my way. Though the grocery store is on the smaller side and the parking lot can often be a tight fit, I still can get in and out of the store fairly quickly. The store does a real good job of staffing their cash registers and keeping the flow of customers continually moving which I appreciate, especially after a long work day. The second reason I come here is for pork belly for samgyeopsal. They're the only place that I've found that cuts the pork belly thin enough. They do leave the skin on, so you'll have to cut that off, but otherwise, it's the perfect thickness for samgyeopsal! Now they just need to cut beef thin enough for chadolbaegi and I'll be in heaven! I do stop by for other things such as veggies, meat, & other Asian products since they have a decent selection, but that's usually only if I just need a handful of items. I think a lot of the things in the store can be found for MUCH cheaper elsewhere, so I tend to stick to no more than 5 items. They do have some really good deals every so often if you regularly skim their ads. They also have a bakery that makes fresh bread, mochi, brownies, and a lot of other baked treats. There's also Oki's Seafood Corner inside by the produce area that is a favorite among locals for their fresh poke. Overall, it's a good spot for basics & if you just need a few items. I don't recommend doing a full on grocery trip here. I always get the same things so it's 4 stars for me!

came here for the POKE and always if you ever not really sure that the POKE shops close to you is good there is always one solution, come find any Foodlands and get your POKE from there. it doesn't matter what island in Hawaii you're at, if you want a good and consistent POKE always go to Foodland.

I don't mind this Foodland because of the convenience and its central location. My favorite thing about this Foodland is Oki's which I really, really love. Parking can be really nuts sometimes and the clientele there is a mix. I personally don't like going there at night by myself because there are some shady characters that frequent there but at least they have security. Foodland prices really vary. They have some great sales but I always check the ads for the other places like Safeway and Longs to get the best deals. At the end of the day, they markdown their deli items and salads etc. One time I got a gigantic container of somen salad that was like 90% off and the somen salad was still good. I think they might've just made too much and couldn't sell them all. They also mark down items like their yogurt and dairy but make sure you check the expiration dates on them because most times they are about to expire in the next few days. The aisles are pretty cramped which I don't like but customer service is always great. I don't recall ever having a bad experience with their employees. Check it out :)

Aside from the excellent poke that all of the Foodlands, except this one apparently, offer on Maui I must say these prices are WORSE THAN WHOLE FOODS! It's really gotten WAY out of control price wise on Maui. I've lived here twice before and have never seen 40-50% above mainland prices. This is going to kill the economy on Maui. If people have to spend every last penny just to eat... what about all of the other businesses? Where do we get money to patronize them? Must we go into debt to live on Maui to serve the tourists we love? Someone has to do something before this crashes the local economy.

Love coming to this foodland when we're in town. We always receive excellent customer service, the workers in the floor always say hi. They have a nice selection of produce alyways fresh and clean. The deli has some key food choices they sell hot pastele that they bring in from oahu they also have pastele stew which is yummy. If you're in kahului come to foodland if you new groceries and some cold beer.
