Okay, let me preface, I have never been to Hawaii and have never had shave ice from here, only other parts of the county.With that out of the way, I loved the shaved ice. It wasn't gritty and was light and airy. But, what made it was the flavors. I'm not going to recommend any flavor because everyone has their preference. I got Matcha, lychee, and vanilla it was great. My wife got strawberry, snow capped (sweetened and condensed milk) and she really enjoyed hers. My son got his with a macadamia nut ice-cream bar which he really enjoyed - smooth and flavorful.Try it, it's not like anything anywhere else in the country that offers similar. Don't compare it to others just on its own. Maybe try other local places on it to compare.

It is a nice wide beach with finer white sand than Waikiki. Kailua Beach is wide and a great place for kayaking or boarding, and next to it is a beach where you can really feel the essence of the white sand. The small Lanikai Beach is located here and is nicknamed <Obama Beach> because it is a favorite beach of former U.S. President Obama.My family and I felt free to just hang out in Waikiki, so we visited the Kairua area, where Obama Beach is located.#Shaved_IceI don't know why Shaved Ice is famous in Hawaii, but it is definitely one of the foods you must try when you come to Hawaii. After looking around a few places, I found that each famous store has its own unique taste and appearance. I'm not the type of person who goes looking for desserts, but if possible, I think it would be a good idea to eat shaved ice once a day during your trip to Hawaii. That's how good I feel about Hawaiian shaved ice.#Obama's StoreAs I mentioned at the beginning, Kailua is an area beloved by former President Obama. Even in the area he loves, the Hawaiian shaved ice shop he enjoys with his daughter is Island Snow. The store is divided into a section selling beach goods and a section selling saved ice, and traces of President Obama's visit can be seen throughout the store.#shaved iceThe special features of Shaved Ice here are ice cream and condensed milk sauce. Place a scoop of ice cream under the cup in advance and add crushed ice on top. Then, sprinkle with flavor syrup and finish with condensed milk sauce.I thought shaved ice was just for the cold, sweet and refreshing taste, but the condensed milk sauce sprinkled on the surface made the taste feel more luxurious. The cheap fruit flavor suddenly tickles my tongue with the taste of a sophisticated, high-end dessert.You can inhale infinitely the taste that has disappeared... When you get bored of the coolness, the ice cream on the floor calmly ends the cool sweet time.It was a shaved ice experience where every turn was just right.#late afternoonThe mall where this store is located is also home to a store that rents beach rides like boards and kayaks. So, this is a place you must come to when you return the item after playing at the beach. After wrestling with the sea all day on a white sandy beach under the stinging sun, I crave something cool and sweet, and the timing is perfect for a cup of shaved ice. The taste sensitivity increases 100 times.#SynthesisThis is the place that made me realize the charm of Hawaiian shaved ice.If you have the chance to come to this area, there's no reason to miss out on the dessert that former President Barack Obama enjoyed, right?

The only reason I don’t give five stars is because they give gross tasting wooden spoons and paper straws. Wish they had plastic ones still. Flavors are great and the service is excellent. Top notch shave ice.

Came for the shaved ice and it was a hit. Mochi was nice and fresh. Good sized portion. Seems dangerous having a shaved ice counter in a clothing store but hey it works for them

Soo good! Came with a scoop of ice cream at the bottom- get the mango and guava! The flavors taste fresh- not just artificial syrups.
