ombré Powder nail set $78,53 + tips
*expensive*
It was my first time doing my nails in the Kailua happy nails. I called 30 minutes before go because i didn’t make an appointment and Luckily they have a free time in the morning.
Usually I do just a refill on my nails. but Since i wanted ombré he told me i have to remove my previous set and do a new one, i said ok.
He didn’t use any nail polish just top coat and that is it.
First photo was my expectation (inspo) and the last 2 how it ended up 😐

My mom and I both got our nails done today, and the staff was so nice! I went for a chrome manicure, and my mom got a gel fill-in. We absolutely loved how they turned out—the technicians were really delicate and precise, making sure everything looked perfect. I’ve been to other nail places before, but this one was even better than my usual spot. We’re both super happy with the results and would definitely recommend them!

I had an amazing experience from the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional.Scott took her time to ensure every detail was perfect, and the results were absolutely stunning! The salon was spotless and organized, with a great selection of colors and services. I felt pampered throughout the entire appointment. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for high-quality nail care!

Vanessa does a very good job with nails and pedicures. Scott is excellent at pedicures. Attention to detail and craftsmanship with both. I’ve never had issues with either of them but I’ve only been coming here for about six months. Their English is excellent which is helpful when communicating what you need. This salon’s personnel are also receptive to how you want the temperature of the water for pedicures.However, if you only want a basic pedicure it’s not great. The older woman who did my pedicure was terrible. She used the scrub BEFORE soaking my feet and as a result my skin broke out due to irritation. So I simply won’t use her services again. It’s hard to find someone who communicates clearly, gives care to their craftsmanship and treats you with aloha. This salon does that.

I looked for a nail salon nearby and decided on this one. Unfortunately, my girlfriend and I didn't have a good experience. I had shown a picture of the nails I wanted (not an elaborate design) and he said he couldn't do it like the picture, so $100 was too much for a design with flowers when I also don’t know if they are going to come out the way I want them to. I decided on a normal color. After saying 3 times that I wanted the nails thinner and not so wide I gave up and filed them narrower at home. (Which is not really possible with 70$ nails only for natural) After he was done with the natural acrylic I said it fits because I found them so horrible that I didn't want to spend another 10$ on color. After 5 days the 1st nail broke and after 7 the 2nd nail. I had lifts and broken, unclean corners everywhere because the work was simply not done well. After a week my nails turned yellow from the sun and I had them all removed. In a place where there is as much sun as Hawaii, maybe you should consider using UV protective top coats on your clients. To be honest, they are just poorly done nails and I can't recommend anyone to visit this nail salon, there are definitely better nail salons on oahu for this price. The customer service was also really terrible. My girlfriend's cuticles were bloody on every finger afterwards and all her nails were cut without asking. Would definitely never go there again.

UPDATE: My gel manicure did not even last a week. They usually last a month. This is due to the nail tech's poor attention to detail. They painted over my cuticle so the edge of the gel just curled up off my skin and a whole chunk of the polish came up. Not worth your time or money.
Used to be my favorite nail salon in Kailua, I’ve gone back multiple times thinking it was just one bad experience, but the salon has definitely changed. Prices have gone up and quality has gone down. They mix all the polish colors themselves now so it’s never consistent. Quality of work has gone down as well, they're always rushing and only correct obvious issues when I point them out. Little attention to detail. Only go if you have an appointment with someone you like, walk-in isnt worth it.

Amazing pedicure! Helen did so well! Big selection of colors. I didn't feel rushed and everyone was very friendly. Was not too pack (Monday @ 2pm). Prices are standard for Hawaii. Will return to get my nails done.

They were wonderful for my Gel manicure and pedicure. She did a beautiful job my polish is lasting long. We got in on the 24 Dec when everyone else was busy.
This place is immaculate very clean and pretty colors.
I'm really thinking of going back and I've been going to my other salon for many years and I like all the people.But the gel doesn't even last a week there! And I haven't been happy for a while now! I'm very pleased with the whole place Happy Nails and the beautiful nail job!
