So I suppose first off, I'm not from around here. While on vacation we wanted to get pizza and came across Brick Oven. Unfortunately, as we walked in we discovered that they would actually be closing a week after our visit. We asked about it and it was from rent going up, sad way to see businesses go.

Old review- best pizza, best crust, went 3x in one week. Update----- they are closing and it is no wonder why- we just went and the crusts on two pizzas were hard as rocks. Our margarita pizza was flat and tough and greasy and after loving this place every time we've visited the island, I'm sad to say the honeymoon is over. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

So bad. Really slow service (and it wasn't even busy), weak beer selection, one of the worst Caesar salads we've ever had (lettuce was hardly even cut and was drenched in dressing), and they got 2 of our pizza toppings completely wrong. Way overpriced too, but that's everything on kauai. Go somewhere else if you're craving some pizza and beer

So delicious! My husband and I came here 20 Mins after they opened and the place was already poppin. Our waitress was super friendly and was working all of the tables so well. We had a medium and that was perfect for both of us plus we had some leftovers. The margherita pizza was to die for. The white garlic sauce really made it. The mozzarella cheese breadsticks were mediocre however the pizza more than made up for it. The homemade marinara sauce is also yummy. Would definitely be back!

Ummm...there's no brick oven, despite the name?? Pizza is baked in a regular, old stainless steel commercial oven. My kids said the pizza was decent and my dad said the spaghetti was the best meal he'd had on the island, so we'll take the average.

I'll start by saying that the food was great! However, we had to wait about 40 minutes for our food. We called ahead for a pizza and salad for pick up and were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. We arrived about 5 minutes after it was supposed to be ready and it wasn't ready yet. We decided to add wings to the order thinking that might add about 15 minutes to our wait. Forty minutes later we got our food. The restaurant wasn't even busy! So, good food, long wait!

This place was great! Drinks are 1/2 price during "happy hour," which is from 2-6pm. There pizza crust and sauce were so delicious!

Pizza was great. Garlic butter sauce is awesome. Try the cinnamon and sugar pizza for dessert. Yummy 😋😋

We ordered a small pizza and a side of fries. It took 30 min for our fries they we're soggy and cold. We then continued to wait for our pizza for another 30 min. I finally asked the waiter how much longer before we get our pizza since it's already been one hour. She comes back and says actually it's going in the oven now. She said that they we're backed up.. so I asked her then why did about 3-4 family's that came after us get there pizza. She then said oh because they did not have dough ready for the small size we wanted. So I asked why did she not inform us and she just kept giving us the run around. So I asked for the bill and we waisted over an hour to eat cold fries.

Enticed by the word, "Brick Oven" but disappointed to find out that pizzas are cooked in industrial restaurant ovens and nor with wood. This particular chain restaurant's dining area has a huge open space with tables spread out so families can had some privacy or let their kids roam. Pizzas are thick crusted and hot. Better to eat now rather than as a leftover the next day. Cream cheese and cinnamon on pizza crust as a dessert is too fattening to justify eating it, but how can you not?

We have been coming here for the last 4 years and today will be the last time and here is why... In my opinion, the food preparation has gone downhill. The steamed clams were, drenched in butter and they put Parmesan cheese on them which made them really salty. However, they were generous and there were 59 small clam shells. The pizza crust was so hard, no flavor, not much tomato sauce, in one word, it was insipid. Next point; the material on the dining chairs which seem to be a vinyl, are so "CRACKED" at the edge where the back of knees hit, that it hurts to sit! And since it is hot in Hawaii you wear shorts, so, of course the back of your knees rubbing on the cracked sharp edges are going to hurt!! It was like this last year in May when I reviewed them and they haven't done anything about it. Next issue is their bathrooms. Dirty toilets and sinks, drippy pipe under the sink with a bucket to collect the water. The only redeeming quality today was there server, Gayleen! She is certainly a cheerful, helpful, respectful person.

The staff were nice. They were understaffed as well. The decor is outdated and the place could use deep cleaning. Wait times slightly longer than expected for number of customers. Likely, because of not enough staff.

Pizza war really nice, service did a great job! A bit expensive in my opinion (one minus). Additionally we were disappointed about the hidden service fee of about 3.5% which was not included in the final bill. The restaurant adds it directly to the credit card bill when paying. This is not customer friendly. Two more minus.

I was in Kauai 10+ years ago and this place was phenomenal. Now it's not anything different than a regular pizza place.
