If you told me a liquor store would have the best poke I’ve ever had, I wouldn’t believe you. Unreal. Another popular poke place ran out and suggested Tamura’s and I’m thrilled they did. Do NOT overlook this spot! Can’t wait to go back.

Stumbled upon Tamura's completely on accident and we were so happy we did. Not only are the prices very competitive on beer, wine, and liquor, but the Poke bar (which I REALLY didn't expect to find) was fantastic as well. Got the combo poke with kalua pork and both were excellent. So good, the family and I made sure to cruise by again before we had to head home.

You can believe the hype about the Poke here. This wine and liquor store is tucked away at the top of a hill in somewhat of a mini industrial business area. Plenty of parking though as it's on a private lot. Let me tell you, the poke here is fire!!!! So fresh!!! Found this place here through Yelp, and the other Yelpers definitely did not disappoint. The store is super clean, and each staff member I encountered here were all very polite, and helpful. When you walk in, the Poke section is directly to your left. When we arrived, there was a line and for good reason. They had about 5 or 6 different kind of Poke's the days we went 7/29 and 7/31. I had the Spicy Ahi and the Tamura's one day. Then the Shoyu and Chili pepper the next. All which were extremely fresh and flavorful. Great to eat by itself, or you can elect for a Poke bowl, which gets you two scoops of rice with furikake and sesame seed (if you want) and two choices of poke. You won't regret it if you're a poke fan! We came here twice to satisfy our poke craving. Crazy how it's a large liquor and wine store, which I'm sure they get a lot of customers for. But the days we went, it mainly were both locals and tourists stopping in for just the poke. Just a heads up, I overheard a lady ask "will you have more tomorrow"? To which the employee said, "yes we have enough fish for the next 3 days" which tells me that they do run out or have days where their poke bar is closed. The poke bowl was $14.99 each and completely worth it. Best Poke I've tried so far in Maui! Give them a try!

My wife and I are here on our honeymoon and wanted to make it a goal to find some of the best poke hawaii has to offer. We got recommended a spot near the airport and tried it out. In my opinion it was good, not amazing. Now this spot. Definitely hit the amazing mark. The rice was perfectly warm and not overly sticky. The fish was so fresh and had amazing flavor that I almost went back in and ordered a second bowl. I got the ahi hot shoyu and tamura which was 5/5. The spice wasnt too much and still gave me that kick I was looking for. The tamura had a almost sweet taste to it. And was very delicious. My wife got the ahi shoyu and she loved every bite. 5/5. Luckily for me she didnt finish her bowl so I got to indulge in a little more amazing poke! We will be returning before we

This review is only for their poke. We came here the day after a disappointing visit to tin roof because we had read that this was actually the best poke in town. We believe it! We in for lunch- no frills counter where you can choose two poke mixes and comes with 2 large scoops of rice. We tried the ninja (my favorite) and the spicy mayo with unagi sauce (island?), My husband's favorite. Definitely hands down best poke in terms of quality and value. I also tried the kimchi clams, which were excellent, although a lot of them were closed so I couldn't actually eat half of them. Regardless, I highly recommend coming here!

Poke bowls are Ahi only. Two scoops of rice and two scoops of Ahi $15.00. It was fresh and delicious. The staff was fast and courteous. A nice line at the deli speaks volumes for this Poke in a liquor store.

10/10.I came here looking for fresh poke and OMG is this the place.I tried poke several times on the island and this was my favorite place by far. Just the quality of the fish was insane.Although you can order poke in several formats, I would just order by 1/2 a pound and eat it with rice. Get the rice and some drinks from this shop at the same time. I was interested in way the fish just melts in your mouth and how the flavors complement the fish perfectly. It's hard to find a place that can compete with the freshness available here. Overall much of the island has poke that is better than anything on the mainland.I loved everything, but the sunrise poke was my favorite.

Love this place. Do not skip! Poke selection was incredible. We were able to get a rice bowl (2 scoops steamed rice + 2 poke options) for 13.99. Seriously probably the best lunch we have had on the island. It’s a liquor store too so you can get your alcohol fix for later!

We came here for the poke, which was all poke and came away enjoying the spicy creamy sauce the most. the other are good and let the fish take center stage but the creamy garlic sauce is so good! Fish quality is solid and not mushy. Pick up a beer and find a shady spot for a good meal.

I am obsessed with their poke from here! It is so fresh and delicious, and they have a wide selection. My ultimate favorite item from here is their kimchee white marinated crab. IT IS HEAVEN and yes it's raw. So juicy and packed with flavor and it tastes even better when you eat it with rice. Highly recommend!

Who would have guessed that the best poke I've ever had would be in an unassuming liquor store in Maui? It was so delicious, my friends and I went back multiple times. My favorite flavors were the Ninja and Spicy Garlic; the ninja was a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, and the spicy garlic was not very spicy, but LOADED with flavor in a thick garlic mixture. Definitely meant for garlic lovers though, because that stuff is strong haha. An honorable mention is the Tamura flavor, which is more of a toned-down version of the ninja but with more sesame flavor. The ahi was so fresh, and the cuts of fish were huge! Prices are reasonable for how good the poke is. You order at the deli counter, and bring your food to the cashier to pay. No seating, so take your poke out to the beach and enjoy the views. Can't recommend enough!

Yes this is a liquor store but with a twist! A local recommended we try the poke here and it did not disappoint. In fact we were blown away at how fresh, well seasoned and buttery the ahi tuna was. We had ours to-go style and purchased scoops of white rice with a bag of Taro chips. Perfect lunch after returning from our snorkeling trip.

Poke here: 10/10. The BEST flavor is the Ninja flavor, which is a teriyaki, which sounds like it doesn't work, but it's enough to have such strong, beautiful, sweet flavor on the poke. The poke bowl is about $14 with two scoops of rice and two options of fish. I like the bigger cut fish (as opposed to Foodland having much smaller cuts of fish) so this was perfect forme. A must go to place if you're here, the poke is so fresh and so delicious! No tables to eat anywhere, so we went to park and eat at Whalers Village.
