Not a dependable location at all. Staff refuse to service the station. Constantly self printed sign stating it's closed. Go to the Kahana location instead if your looking for service without excuses

Slappy cakes had a 1 hour wait so we headed to Times for breakfast burritos ($6) breakfast bentos (fried rice, eggs, sausage) and vibes! I love supporting a local owned grocery store versus overpriced HI Safeway chains.Found some great local snacks, cool insulated grocery bags to take home.

I don't usually shop at times, but when I do I never know if it's going to be a positive or negative shopping experience. My last one however was actually pretty funny. It was a hot day so I was dressed in my yoga lounge attire with no makeup. I walked in, grabbed a case of beer & stood in line. There was a few people in front of me. So I pulled out my ID & my credit card while I waited. When it was my turn I greeted the cashier & told her my birthday. She just looked up at me like I was a minor trying to buy alcohol & just rudely said I'll need your ID. I think she was surprised when I said I have it. I handed it over, swiped my card & I told her thank you have a great rest of your day. As she handed over my receipt & I walked out.I'm usually quite shy, so I find it uncomfortable when I'm in a shopping situation if I feel I'm being ignored. Or if I'm interacting with an employee & I don't feel welcomed. Easy solution, just be nice, smile & say hello to everyone. Even some small talk is a nice way to break the ice. XOXO,ChelsieFletcher

Not as well stocked as foodland but they had all the important items. I just wish that there were more "hawaii" or japanese american selection.

This is a great place to stock up on necessities (and impulse buys) while on the go! I bought sushi, wine, bottled water, a watermelon Bai drink, and a papaya for around $19. There is a large selection of items. The only con is in the later afternoon the poke and bento box selection is slim to none, so make a trip earlier in the afternoon to grab some!

We usually shop at Foodland when visiting Maui and Kauai. This time, I wanted a grocery store closer to Westin Nanea. It's less than 5 min from the resort. The selection doesn't seem as large as Foodland, especially for deli items, but it all worked out. We try to buy local produce like apple bananas (not apples and bananas; it's apple bananas) and sweet onions. Go with local producers for milk and eggs. I mean, why get boring regular milk when you can have chocolate macadamia. While I like the bigger deli selection at Foodland, Times is sufficient. It has a good poke selection. There's also a $6.99 deal on a poke bowl. The big kid enjoyed shoyu poke and seaweed salad. He liked the sea asparagus poke too. We also found bento boxes for under $7. My younger kiddo devoured the pork adobo. I found a baked giant sweet potato near checkout. My goodness, that was a treat. Hubs and I split it. The steak we bought cooked up nicely. Same with the chicken drumsticks I braised. There's a fair meat selection for those who partake. You might want to check out the gift section here instead of ABC stores. They also carry boogie boards if you prefer to buy instead of rent. No Foodland trips this time on Maui since Times did the job!

Good market for all Your grocery needs. If you're looking for more international food ingredients, this is your place. Mostly Asian ingredients. They have lots of cooked food and pastries as well. The Ube pandesal was so good and fresh. I was able to find fresh oysters here. Good for making oysters Rockefeller - wouldn't try to eat it raw though.... The only thing is they can ran out of items fast. So many people shop at this place. Produce are fresh. They also sell the local farm produce. Just like any grocery stores in Hawaii, everything is expensive.

It all depends on what you like for your everyday grocery needs. Fresh meat and seafood is always in abundance here. If you like grilling they have marinated meats and fresh fish is all ready for your dining in when you get tired of restaurant food already. I love picking up my breakfast bento here in the morning after my everyday beach walk at Ka'Anapali beach. If you like Poke, They have a big selection by around lunch time and their poke bowl is my favorite. If you want a brake on sea food and in a hurry for a bite their lunch bento is a good value for a quick eat.

The good: I got groceries here on my 1st day in Maui because the condo I was renting was nearby. It is very close to the beach so it's a great spot to grab some food or ice cream before heading for a swim. They sell souvenirs and some ready-to-eat foods (sushi, chicken, etc). It's a good spot to get fun Hawaiian souvenirs like musubi insulated lunch bags or beach equipment. The cashiers were friendly. I got some local jam, local ice popsicles, fun tropical fruit juices, and everyday groceries here like eggs, water, snacks, and fruit. They sell gift cards online. The bad: The market doesn't have the freshest or cleanest feel to it. It's a little bit run down. Water is mostly expensive here except for one case I found that was on sale (the prices were very drastically different from one another). Things like eggs, milk, etc are all more expensive here in Hawaii compared to the states, as expected. The interesting: This market started in the 40s by Japanese immigrants and has now expanded to include over a dozen locations throughout Hawaii.

Quality/Quantity - Good Atmosphere - Local supermarket, love hanging with the locals. Poke - See all the different and local flavors!!! Best selection of local flavors in my opinion. Safeway supermarket has the freshest poke but with "basic" flavors in my opinion. This trip we got the following poke - Pipikaula Tako (most expensive and acquired taste, I do not recommend), Ebi Bomb Shrimp, Pulehu Tako, Imitation Crab Salad, Ahi Ginger Wasabi, and Spicy Tako. See pictures. Also got a sandwich, salad, rainbow roll sushi, fruit, hot wings, and a baked sweet potato - you have to try their native sweet potatoes, so good! Hot deli with daily specials, see picture. They also have hot foods to-go, but this trip had very limited selection - see picture. I believe they make their own rotisserie chicken. Bakery (not sure what (if anything) is baked in house?). Local beer and alcohol. Fresh local produce - This location even has Hispanic produce, see picture. Pharmacy. Meat and grocery departments. Service - Good. Price - $72, expect to pay Hawaiian prices. We/I just love poke with beer. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1949 with 24 locations, second largest and oldest supermarket in HI. Love your flavors of poke, thank you!!

This is a good place to stock up on a variety of macadamia nuts and chocolates. We also bought fruits here. I was impressed with the poke bowls and sushi selections. Would be great to take family for a quick bite to eat if we want food for a beach day. Also, the sweet potato stand is very cute but expensive. I bought 1 sweet potato and didn't pay attention that it was $7 for 1! The stand priced it at 2 for $5 but for some reason the bag of potato price tag was $7. Be sure to check before you buy this.

We came here for a few items & it was a great experience; it would be cool if their deli had some Hawaiian dishes, but I will try stuff next time. I will also try something from their bakery when in town again. We used one of their self check out stands & had a little trouble at the end swiping our credit card & getting our receipt, but there was a wonderful employee helping the self check out customers who assisted us & got us on our way. Keep up the good work guys.

It's the closest grocery store to where we were staying. Decent selection of what you need. We ended up going on a Sunday evening so there were a fair amount of sold out items. Prices seemed typical for Maui. The one thing that stood out was the $5+ for a box of pasta. Damn. We did hit Walmart for a few none refrigerated items, and the pasta was closer to mainland, but they were basically sold out. Overall, I'd recommend shopping here.

I come here often, sometimes even 2-3 times a day. All the necessities are here, assuming you don't need specialty items of any sort. The service is friendly and they are open nice and early. They could however manage to restock their shelves, they've been pretty bare the last few weeks. We will still continue to shop here though and sure we recommend it :)

Love it when I drive all the way home from work and because I'm having a great time with a very good friend In line I'm told they won't sell me a bottle of wine, because I'm already "too drunk". I can absolutely respect this but this happened tonight about an hour ago. Truly I'm disappointed and I'll never shop here again. Mahalo.
