There are several reasons why I love Momi and the Uptown Chevron Ohana. So get ready for a long review ;) The commercials on the radio. So lovely how much effort Momi puts into the commericals and loves us families. It is one that we all have to sing with her whenever we hear it come on the air. The convenient parking all around the store and in back. Sure, it's off a one way and Main. However there is plenty of spots to pull into. I also love that they have more than one area to fill your tires with air. On two separate sides of the parking lot in the back. The murals. Take a moment to see how awesome the artwork is here. A lot of thought and creativity into beautifying this space. THE ONO KINE GRINDS For real. There is something for everyone. In fact I will break it down for you: Fresh Fruit: Grab a banana, apple or cut fruit when you need it. Fresh Baked Goods: All day everyday. From Mochi to Muffins. Or mu favorite smores or chex mix. Conveniently packaged and sold by weight. Musubi Variety - Spam, Spam with Furikake, Chicken, Sausage, Breakfast Kine. So many musubi varities! Bentos - Don't have time to wait for the hot food counter? Grab a bento. Selections always include local breakfast bento, sandwiches, or fried chicken mochiko chicken, teri beef. Too many to list! Specials Counter - they have multiple specials that change daily. This is why I fell in love with them. You are thinking, seriously? Gas station food? No, this is an Uptown Kitchen with a beautiful selection. Grab a mini plate or regular size. They have standard menu too (check my photo). Our favorites: Pot Roast, Adobo, Pateles, Gandule Rice. You cant go wrong. You will want to order your food, then pay at the register and come back with your receipt. So worth it! Desserts - Oh you thought I was done? Nah. They have ice cream selections. But they also have fresh S and J bakery pies. They also have a ton of home made baked desserts. Ice - ok you're thinking. You are reviewing the ice? Yes. I am very picky about my ice after a batch of bad ice proved to be nearly fatal to a family member once. So, I am picky about how my ice tastes. (No fishy ice here!) So come on in and use your Safeway points for cheap gas. Grab some ono grinds on the way up to the counter.

Profiles customers as they come through. My boyfriend came in to get our son Hamburger steak. (They LOVE the Hamburger steak here). He seen that they were out so he left. Mind you my boyfriend is covered in tattoos and sticks out like a sore thumb. A woman follows him out to his car and asks him what was in his pockets accusing him of stealing and admitted it was because of the way he was dressed. He goes there EVERY DAY to get gas, misc items, and plate lunches. We will NOT be coming here anymore. After emptying his pockets for her instead of apologizing she just says “cameras don’t lie” I HOPE she checked the cameras and I HOPE she feels bad for PROFILING a loyal customer.

Today I went to up town Chevron to order lunch 7/19/19 @1:05pm.Awsome food,Casey and the crew are awsome!! But today the cook really pissed me off.I ordered Chop steak for lunch while waiting patiently for my food several other customer came in and order food. But there was one customer who order chop steak too.The cook called him out by his name and asked him if he ordered yet? And the male said no he wants chop steak.Need I remind you he ordered way after me.I went and sit down at the table and waited for the staff to call me. After awhile I decided to get back up and check on my order as I went back to the window. I noticed the guy who ordered after me his food was done. Casey did apologize and said sorry my food will be up soon.I told her I ordered first that's not right,She said she was really sorry.Casey did and awsome job, Its the cook he needs to re-check himself and know anyone who walks through those doors are customers. Regardless if his friends come in he should never push other customers on the side.I also work and need to get back on the road. Favoritism was definitely in order today!!!!!

Was blessed with a Holiday Meal from this place. My dish was a baked "Dynamite Style" Opakapaka with rice and potato mac salad. It was AMAZING... so fresh and prepared perfectly. The filet (almost like a steak infact) was moist and delicious. Don't let the Gas station front fool you. This food is ONOLICIOUS!

A frequent stop for me for lunch, a cold drink or a quick snack. They have a food service line/kitchen which puts out some awesome food. Pasteles are pretty good & gandule rice is flavorful. Today got the chicken Alfredo. Chix was tender and pasta was ono. But the best thing about here is Momi and her staff. Always friendly and makes you feel like ohana. I guess that's why their slogan is, "Aloha Families"

Freshly made food from a gas station? Are you kiddin' me??? No ways man..........I ain't gonna lie to you folks! Believe it or not........this Texaco gas station (formerly a Chevron gas station) in the old Wailuku town serves up some pretty ono plate lunch grindages!!! I wouldn't have known about this place if it weren't from my reliable Yelp buddies - Vince N., & Maria P., (you folks really know where to get da good grindages yo!) Once I saw da pics that Vince N., & Maria P. had posted...........then I heard Vince mentioned something about "Shoyu Chicken", Aiyah.........next thing ya know, Bruddah Fran has to check this place out!!!! Upon turning on my trusty GPS on my phone, I head toward old Wailuku town, and as I drive up Main Street.........you will see a pretty large Texaco gas station. There is plenty parking in the private parking lot, as they had parking in front of the gas station, as well as behind the gas station. If for some reason the parking lot is full, there is ample free street parking too. As I got to the Texaco gas station, I parked my rental car on one of the free street parking stalls just adjacent to the gas station. Upon walking into the Texaco convenience store, I headed straight to the back of the store where you will see a little booth marked "ONOLICIOUS", and believe me folks..........this is where all of the magic is made on a plate!!!! How it works - 1. You check out the wall menu posted by the Onolicious booth, then place your food order at the booth. 2. From there, you go back to the front of the Texaco convenience store & pay for your food (that you had ordered from the Onolicious booth). Upon paying for your food, the cashier will give you a receipt where you take the receipt back to the Onolicious booth. 3. When you food is ready, the lady will call your name. You give her your reciept (showing you paid for your food), and she in turn will give you your onolicious plate lunch! 4. Unfortunately this place does not have any seating area, so it's basically a grab & go kinda place.......... (I ate my food in my rental car). There were 3 wall menus posted by the Onolicious booth - 1. One menu appears to be the standard menu (items that they serve everyday). 2. Then there was a breakfast menu - (breakfast is served from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM). 3. And the last menu was stuff posted for their "daily specials" for the day. Upon looking over the menu, I decided to get the regular size - Yakitori Chicken plate with Brown Rice, & Toss Salad from their daily specials menu. I noticed most of the regular plates from the daily specials menu run just under $10 bucks, @ $9.95 per plate. Please note;............if you choose to get your plate lunch with brown rice, there is a extra ($1.00 surcharge), as their standard plate lunch normally comes with white rice. What can I say about the grindages?? Brah, when I picked up my plate I almost dropped it, as it was so HEAVY!!! You know what it means when you get one heavy plate???? Yes gangies.........that means they wen' give you plenty grindages yo!!!! SCORE!!! The Yakitori Chicken was made perfectly........slowly grilled & marinaded to perfection...........just right, nothing was burnt from the cooking process. I give BIG Props to da chef.........UDAMAN!!!! The mixed green salad was fresh, and it was accompanied with some sliced tomato, & cucumber. They provided a dressing on the side, and I got the ranch dressing that was very thick & flavorful. I can't believe this gas station cranks out some pretty good plate lunches! Big props to my Yelp buddies - Vince & Maria.........if it weren't for you folks, I would have never known about this place! Looking for a local style plate lunch??? Check out the "Onolicious" booth inside of the Wailuku Texaco!

Lunch time is great here when you need to take out. Baked Opakapaka, Shoyu chicken, Pastele Stew, Gandule rice, Corned beef and cabbage....hungry yet? These are only a few examples of what they offer for lunch during the weekdays. Their menu rotates everyday, but I do know Wednesdays got Pastele stew and Fridays got baked Opakapaka. Yes, they are a gas station/convenience store, but when lunch is on...cheee huuu.(yay) ..action! (super great) . Staff is really friendly and they are open 24 hours. Also you can find kulolo here!

Homemade local food, and lots of options. The best spam musubi on island! Delicious tender shoyu chicken where the glaze is just right! The service is friendly. The kind of place you just feel at home in, local Hawaii style.
