Aaron the owner was a huge and more than generous to me and my situation this is my first time ever owning a car and I knew absolutely nothing about cars but Aaron pointed out things that I never would’ve looked at and my many times of going to jiffy lube for inspections many things went unnoticed or unannounced…the first night he came to inspect my rotors and brakes and gave me a jump because my battery was dead he charged me a more than reasonable price and I was so blessed to have a mechanic who isn’t charging extreme prices and come to me … he informed me that i didn’t need certain parts and I could wait for those repairs instead of forcing me to get them for a higher pay… He waited patiently for me to get my parts and arrived 30 minutes after I texted him and charged me a great price and the customer service and urgency he gave without being pushy or rushing was enough for me to recommend him to anyone I know who is in need of a car repair inspection or a simple estimate. Filed Police Report: Pattern of Deceptive Behavior
On October 21, 2025, I paid Hines Mobile Auto Repair (Aaron Hines) $340 via Zelle for a part and repair that never occurred. He claimed my 2020 Jeep Cherokee needed a new alternator after I told him what AAA suspected, but he never inspected the vehicle himself. After payment, he failed to show, stopped responding, and never provided the part or service. A certified mechanic later confirmed the alternator was fully functional — the issue was only a dead battery — meaning his claim was false.
After I filed a police report regarding the incident, Aaron resumed contact and sent a screenshot showing a failed $5 “refund attempt.” This response appeared only after law enforcement involvement. He then tried to redirect me to Cash App for repayment, which I declined for security and accountability reasons. He still has my vehicle information, address, and contact details.
Multiple public reviews describe the same pattern: upfront payment, false explanations, and no completed work. This reflects a recurring deceptive practice, not an isolated misunderstanding.
I have filed a report with the Geneva Police Department (Case No. 25-14998) and provided all supporting documentation. I’m sharing this to help others avoid the same situation — especially those stranded or under pressure. Verify credentials and never send advance payments without confirmed work.

I thought there was a problem with the alternator, but before replacing it Aaron checked everything and found out it was just a blown fuse, he was able to fix it in 10 minutes.

Fixed my ac compressor until 11pm. Then charged it for me as well, and replaced a motor mount! Well worth it!

Fantastic, prompt service! I had a tire with a screw in it that needed repair. I called Aaron on a Sunday, and he was able to come by the same day!! He repaired the tire, and re-inflated it, all for a great price. I didn't even have to leave my house - Highly recommend!

Aaron has become my go to Mechanic for my 2020 Volvo s90. He takes care of all of my brake work now and he definitely knows what he’s doing when it comes to Electrical Brake Systems.

My husband and I have used Aaron for a number of repairs on both of our cars. All work done flawlessly and quickly. He always responded quickly via text and was significantly cheaper than other mechanics. However, when my husband’s engine suddenly stopped working, we went to Aaron to see if he could give us an estimate to fix it. It took awhile for us to get an official invoice from him, but when the time came that he “found a replacement engine,” he asked us to put $2500 down so he could “reserve the engine with the seller.” So we did. Initially he asked us to pay him using his business account, but then said there was an issue with payment once it went through so he refunded us and asked us to send it through Zelle. So we did… He told us the work would be done in 3 days once we made the deposit. A week later, no work had been done and he said his mom was in the hospital after a heart attack. We gave him a few days to give him time with family. But he never got back to us. Now nearly 3 weeks after the deposit, he has completely ghosted us. We have called and texted him everyday for weeks now with no response from multiple numbers. Voicemail full. Now we are moving forward with a police report. So sad it had to come to this.

If I had an option to give out more than 5 stars i would! I do not know how Hines mobile repair can even get negative reviews and 1 stars as what a fantastic and excellent service Aaron and George did for my vehicle. As a 1st time new guest, I called Aaron told him everything of what the issue was with my vehicle. Aaron listened and told me what I exactly needed to get my vehicle fixed. Aaron is was very professional and communicated on what parts i needed to get my vehicle fixed. I had to get a new alternator that needed to be replaced and my vehicle was not operational. I called and texted Aaron explained to him that my vehicle was not driveable Aaron stated he will come to me, we setup a place we can meet to get the vehicle fixed. Aaron and George arrived on time to the location i told them were the vehicle was at, they diagnosed my vehicle and told me what the issue is and what I exactly needed. They were quick and took there time to make sure that they got the job done and right. t
They did a drive test and reinspected everything in the vehicle to make sure there were no other issues. Nowadays, you do not see that in mechanics that the way how Aaron and George took very good care of my vehicle and of me being a 1st time guest. I wish every mechanics were like Aaron and George they are honest, very hard working, they give a reasonable and affordable prices, they do not upcharge you by charging you an arm and a leg to tell you to get extra parts for the job to get the vehicle fixed, they focus on what needs to be fixed and if something else comes into there attention that needs to be fixed they will let you know. I was very amazed the way how they took care of me and they saved me a fortune on my vehicle repairs. My vehicle drives as it is brand new coming out of a car dealership show room. I highly recommend Hines Mobile Auto Repair for your vehicles to be fixed and the great part is that they are mobile they come to you. I am going to recommend my friends and family to use Hines Mobile Auto Repair, I am never going to the dealership anymore, I am going to be using there services for a very long time now whenever I am in need to get my vehicle fixed. Thank you Aaron and George keep up the hard work and thank you for your service!

Did half of an alternator job and didn’t get the new serpentine belt on after we scheduled service, then we need to bring the car in for another service ontop of that. While test driving the car apparently idled out and next thing we know he was being detained and our car was towed. Never reached back out to us after and completely ghosted us. Unreliable schedule

I got into a bit of trouble doing my brakes, and Aaron was able to come fix the problem and save me from being towed. Took care in the work, and the price couldn't be beat! Will definitely be a repeat customer
