Racist caricatures (an indigenous person spending what little money they have-pinching their pennies-to buy alcohol) being the central marketing strategy of this establishment is shameful. From 2006-2010, a survey of death certificates showed that Native Americans died due to alcohol at a rate of 4x compared to the general US population because of a range of social and political issues, and this store is mocking, celebrating, and profiting off of that.

Pinch Penny Liquors is my favorite place in town for any packaged alcohol. They have a wonderful, rotating selection of craft beers, as well as an extensive wine selection and a diverse selection of spirits. They also carry a lot of non-alcoholic options, as well at some CBD and THC drinks.
The staff has always been welcoming and helpful. They have always answered any questions and been pleasant, and also know where their products are located.
The store is well-lit, always clean, and organized. A single visit is all you need to learn where everything is.
Pinch Penny also sponsors several events in Carbondale, including Cinema at The Varsity Center. Definitely the spot to pick up your next drink.
