Earlier today, I was trying to update my residential status. But the staff told me my old status(non-resident) isn’t expiring until 10 days later(he firstly told me my status has expired in June, but he looked at the wrong record and I have to correct him), asked me to come back again after it expires. But I’ve already there, why couldn’t him just take 30 sec to update it, instead of making customer run again. Plus the letter I received from BOA tax reporting yesterday is for non-residents which doesn’t apply to me any more after I update my status. That’s why I come here today to update my resident status but he was insisting to ask me fill out that form which doesn’t apply to me and send back to the tax reporting department. After I insist, he updated my resident record and told me he can help me to send that form back if needed and he told me that he wasn’t reading through that letter carefully earlier. But I’d rather mail it back with an explanation myself. I’ve been to different firms to update my status before, never had experience like this.

Awfull service. Some of the staff forget that they are there because of customers. Horrible!!

The people who work here are amazing and helpful with everything I needed and were so patient with what I wanted. They explained everything so well for me and made me feel welcome from the start. I’m glad I decided to open a new account with this bank!

All the branches I frequent in Lakeview are closed.

I very rarely go to physical banks just because there's really no need for it. But on Xmas Eve of 2020, I decided to make a trip to this branch to drop off a crapload of coins that had been sitting in my condo since 2019. I have an Oberweiss milk bottle that holds about $200 in change and various other container hidden around the condo. This is one of the few branches that take coins and send them to the Dept of Treasury, or so I thought. The last time I made a coin drop in the early part of 2019, that was the process: teller gives me the official Dept of Treasury plastic bag with the chain of custody, I give it back to the teller who would turn it over to the pick-up guy from the Dept of Treasury. BOA no longer does that at this branch, but the teller was very nice and gave me a crapload of rollers so I could roll them myself and drop them off. That may happen by 2024 as it looks like I have about $500-600 worth of change. I digress, so getting back to the review of this branch. It is located on the corner of Lawrence and Broadway, so parking can be a problem. There were two tellers working the windows and they were fine. My issue with this visit was the long wait and it had nothing to do with the tellers, it was the customers. Both people were asking for services that could not be provided to them due to either lack of proper ID or trying to access an account at a different bank, but some reason could not understand why their demands were not being met. The tellers had the patience of Job and maintained their professional demeanor, trying to explain to the person they were waiting on that they could not assist them. The one customer went to the floor manager with the same issue and tied her up as she was telling him the same thing that the teller had told him. He was still there when I left, saying that he understood what she was saying, but telling her he needed to have the service done. Hilarious, it was like watching Abbott and Costello Who's On First. As I said, I don't go to the bank often, but have no problem going here, but realize that the bank has zero control of the people coming in to do business with them.

So I am a client at this branch and today I had a nasty experience. Im a foreigner in this country and sometimes I do not understand some procedures. I met a lady teller who could not help me with what I wanted. Instead she told me to go to the ATM to fo what I wanted yo do as I had a temporary Id cos i recently moved to this area so Im still waiting for my Id. So I asked her if I could get someone to help me at the atm. She was not nice and gave me an attitude. Anyway there is a guy who assisted me at the atm and i appreciate him. I usually get assisted with my transactions by the Nigerian lady teller bug I did not see her today.

Extremely unfriendly staff. All I wanted was a few documents to be notarized but the lady at the front desk was both rude and of no help, even though I had a scheduled appointment with the notary. She, after a discussion with the notary, simply refused to notarize the documents and canceled my appointment without explaining why exactly they can't notarize these documents. I got the exactly same documents notarize elsewhere in literally 5 minutes without any of the lame excuses that BOFA gave. I should have paid more attention of numerous one star reviews for this branch. I am a long time BOFA customer but they simply disappointed me this time.

Inside the bank i typically always get good service from the tellers. The only issue i have is the long lines with usually only 1 or at the most 2 tellers behind the window. There is no parking and that's why i give this particular location 3 stars instead of 4.

No one at my branch will answer the phone, they are open. Also to make an appoint on line does not work. Customer service is out of the question unless you have plenty of time to sit on hold. Bank froze my accounts for fraudulent transactions that was the banks fault. I need to make an appointment.

During COVID-19, Bank of America has only two locations (Racine, Belmont) OPEN on the North side PLUS Lasalle St. Nearby CTA. Uncomfortable, maybe even unsafe location. No parking lot. Thurs afternoon. "18th" in line more than 30 minutes, only 2 tellers. Teller was kind, rushed and doing her job as she prepared and counted cash without asking me my choice of denominations. Full lobby may be routine, manager walked around not talking with anyone, not customers, not security, not staff.
