Amazing! Order the duck in advance, the lobster and spare ribs were very good. Will come back again!
About the restaurant & décor: The lively, loft-like room with plenty of lazy Susans atop the large, round tables makes Sun Wah a perfect spot for big groups or families. Tile floors and exposed brick add to an industrial feel, which matches the urban vibe of Uptown.Likes: Consistently hot, flavorful food and mountainous portions.Dislikes: The restaurant doesn't offer delivery.Food & Drinks: There are some 200 Cantonese and Hong Kong-style dishes on the menu; we've only gotten around to trying half a dozen. The problem? We keep going back to our favorites. First, there's the crisp-skinned, smoked-in-house duck that ? when ordered whole ? is carved tableside from atop a wooden cart. It comes with puffy buns that are ready to be stuffed, soup and noodles or rice that utilize all the animal's tasty bits. Not to be forgotten is the pork, also smoked on the premises (skeptics can see it hanging in the front window for proof); it, too, is full of rich flavor. Paired with stir-fried Chinese broccoli or stuffed eggplant and a Tsingtao beer, we're good to go.
