I have nothing bad to say about this fine establishment that has been a part of the Rogers Park neighborhood for decades. Looking for authentic African anything from garments(men and women) to soaps to Shea butter to drums to whatever African, you must stop here. The oils are great for both wearing(a little goes a long way) and burning. They also carry a great variety of Afro inspired accesories for women, I'm not so sure about for men but definitely for women. I must add that the apparels are STUNNING! Okay, I'm done now but I could go on. Did, I say the apparels were stunning? Yea, stunning!

Al had everything from jewelry to soap to music and home decor. Reasonably priced and very friendly. Check him out in his store or at many street festivals in Chicago.

Unan Imports is one of my favorite African goods store. It’s located on the north side of Chicago at 6971 N. Sheridan Rd. The place has a great selection of shea butters, black soaps, incenses, and African clothing. The owner is very nice and extremely helpful. He goes out of his way to make sure I leave as a satisfied customer every time!
