This most recent time I called Darien Animal Clinic to schedule for my cat to be checked for something unusual that he was doing, it was a pleasant experience since this receptionist did not sound like she disliked her job. Also, when I arrived and left I was greeted appropriately!

The vets are very kind and so gentle with my pets. They are also very thorough with their exams and explanations. I never feel rushed and am able to get all my questions answered. I will definitely keep bringing all of my pets here and highly recommend them to others. They are also very caring because I do not have to wait forever to get my pet in to be seen. I greatly appreciate this.

Very, very rude service! I called this morning (12/1/2022) and a woman answered, and I requested-inquired to make a vet appointment... The following is a summary of how the convo went: -What's your pets name? -He has never been there before, I just moved to the area... -You have to go online to our website and fill out a new client paperwork (whatever else she was non-enthusiastically mumbling...) -No, this is a time sensitive matter I don't have time to to all that. -Her: we're not a clinic, then she hung up the phone on me (while I was in the process of trying to ask for recommendations, she just spoke over me and hung up the phone...) I called another vet, in the same area, and they took me today, and were very, very pleasant and polite. Darien Animal CLinic: A) lost my business, and B) any positive info or recco's from me. Recommendation to the owner/manager: train your staff on how to be more pleasant and helpful. Whomever I spoke with was clearly not interested. The above narrative is a true story, not an exaggeration.

I want to give an update to my previous review of Darien Animal Clinic. After I wrote my last review I was contacted by Steve, the office manager, about my concerns and disappointment. Steve was very apologetic and was sorry about what happened. All my concerns were handled in a very professional manner, and I am satisfied with the outcome. Then yesterday I received an email from Dr. Morris, the best vet ever. It was so encouraging to hear directly from him. I am happy to hear that when my dog needs veterinary care I can see him again. As I stated before I wouldn't trust anyone else with my pets' health! Thank you Darien Animal Clinic! Barb Kain

This clinic's personnel are great! From health screening, to vaccinations, nail clipping and a spaying, you can count on them to treat your pet like their own. Love taking our kitten there!!

We have been coming to Darien Animal Clinic for 28 years, and we are always pleased with the doctors & staff. They are kind and caring, always get us in as quickly as possible, and are very knowledgeable in all areas of veterinary care. I highly recommend Darien Animal Clinic!!!

I went here the other day. Spoke with Dr. Gus about my concerns with Fred. His answer to everything was to chuckle and say, "it happens". What kind of a vet shows such lack of concern for your pet? And doesnt even offer to check it?? Disgusting.

Everyone here is so friendly, and so helpful. I am so glad that I was referred here by a friend as I have recently adopted a pitbull in which comes off aggressive due to his anxiety and fear of humans that stems from his past prior to adopting him. I have taken him to one other vet as well as an emergency vet since having him. Despite me putting a muzzle on him-other vets seem terrified of my dog. Dr. Adkesson at Darien Animal Clinic handled him amazing. Due to Covid, she had to meet him and take him inside without me being able to go in with my dog. She told me he rubbed his body on her leg, which is a HUGE deal, as my dog only does this to people he is comfortable with. It is his way of looking for comfort from humans. She even was comfortable enough to take his muzzle off of him for me after his appointment. I have never in my life seen my dog so comfortable with a stranger-nor met someone who was able to understand my dog from the moment they met him. The moment I left his appointment, I had to brag to my friend about her and how she handled my pitbull. She seriously "wowed" me with how she treated my dog and understood him. Not only did she listen to all my concerns to help my dogs needs, but she handled him with the care he deserves. It's easy to stereotype pitbull s and I will forever be grateful for how she treated my fur baby and will continue to return here as our primary vet.

Just moved into the area. Rabies and usual yearly injections $300 plus here. Brought my dog in due to some strange behaviors. Blood, urine tests, x rays (?) and examination cost of $480 with no diagnosis. Now I call and this place charges $140 per dog flu vaccination (2 x$70) for a 2 Stage flu shot that everybody else charges $35 (2 x $35). Last time i call here

My dogs and I love Darien Animal Clinic. The staff is always professional and truly care for their furry patients. During this crazy pandemic they have a system in place that works well to protect everyone involved. I appreciate their care and efforts. And Dr. Glagola is just the best!

Just started taking my English bulldog puppy here! Great vet! Very informative and kind with all my questions. The vet and tech came to my car to bring my puppy back. The vet when over all treatment in person with me and answered all my concerns. I trust this vet so much for all my pets needs. I highly highly recommend Darien Clinic!

Dr Gus has been great with my dogs, he really cares and spends time listening. I have always had german shepherds and all the other vets I tried when I first moved to the area, the first thing they did was walk in the door with a muzzle, not Dr Gus, he was great and got down on the dogs level and made friends with my dog and never needed a muzzle.
