Currently sitting here getting a pedicure and by far has it been the best one I've ever had. They take their time on you, great massage, friendly, etc. I've experienced a lot of shops in my day.....but WOW. I am impressed and will be returning for all my future nail appointments. 10/10 don't waste you time on other shops. This really is 5 stars!!!! Thanks again :)

I initially chose this salon due to its convenient location near my home and work. I have only had my nails done by the owner, Vince. While he can be friendly and personable, I was uncomfortable with him speaking negatively about customers in a different language right in front of me. Using a translator, I discovered he was discussing how I didn't know what I wanted. I was getting a full set with a cat eye design, but after a few unsuccessful attempts, I asked to leave it plain to simplify things. Vince seemed frustrated, saying I should have told him earlier, and at one point, he even went out for a cigarette break. He often spoke to me in a condescending manner, making it seem like the issues were my fault. As the owner, I had higher expectations.
After my nails were done, they were poorly executed and elevated, making me eager to remove them. Additionally, if you don’t tip in cash, you'll be asked repeatedly if you have any on hand. Despite this, I still tipped 15% to acknowledge the service.
I later went to another salon, where the technician explained that my nails are naturally raised, but a skilled tech should adjust for that to make them look natural. I was pleased with the outcome at the new salon and will not be returning to Five Star Nails.

Today I walked in to the five star nail salon with no appointment scheduled for full set acrylic nails. Mr Vincent very nicely accepted me in and had my nails done. I only showed him a picture and he perfectly did it.
It was my first time there and he made an amazing experience for me. Everyone there was so nice and happy. I highly recommend this place and also Mr Vincent( the owner).

I really wish I could give zero stars!! The owner was so rude! I asked for coffin nails and he said that short coffin nails don’t look right. So I said ok, then asked for square nails that had a slight coffin look to it. He started to make coffin nails! I tried to look at my fingers while he was doing them so I could make sure it was what I wanted and he would get annoyed and pull my fingers back. Saying I wasn’t holding my hands right. First red flag. It wasn’t till the acrylic was on that he asked me if it was good. At which point I told him as nicely as I could that they were too narrow. That he made coffins nails, after I told him square with a slight coffin look. He obviously got confused. It’s cool, great, things happen. It wouldn’t have been a big deal if it wasn’t for his reaction to my critique. HE GOT ANGRY WITH ME!! Second red flag! He tried to turn it around on me. Saying that, “I don’t know what I want”. That “I’m confused” “I should have said tapered”. I’m not a nail tech I don’t know the terms, sue me! He wouldn’t stop harassing me over this. For 25 mins he did this, I sat trying not to cry at the way he was talking down to me. Third red flag!! I wanted to stop him and tell him to take it all off and walk. I SHOULD HAVE!! He “tried” to fix them, but it just made them worse. And when I tried to explain again something else I didn’t like, he got more angry. Fourth red flag!!! He started rushing through the job, obviously trying to get me out of there. Fifth red flag!!!! And at that point I just stopped speaking because I didn’t want to deal with his attitude or verbal abuse anymore. I paid and left, and when I got home I broke down crying over the experience and how bad my nails were. They were uneven, some of the edges of my actual nails aren’t even covered. My mom who was a nail tech had to file them and fix them as best as she could, because they weren’t the same lengths and the sides were completely uneven. They are as even in length as she could possibly get them now. But the shape, the sides of the nails, just can’t be fixed. My mom told me I should go back and get them taken off and fixed. But I don’t want to deal with his attitude if I do. I wanted white, pink and gold nails, with pretty designs. I left with black and gold nails, no designs. He wanted to get me out faster so he started critiquing my color choice so I would do something simple and faster. Sixth red flag!!!!! And after the way he treated me, I just wanted to get out of there asap! So I said sure, whatever. I told my mom about it and she told me she got a mold from this place and that she doesn’t go here anymore. SEVENTH RED FLAG!!!!!! I wish I had known that, because I would have gone elsewhere. I regret going, I regret not telling him to stop and take it off and then leaving. I regret paying, and lastly I really regret tipping him. I wish I could go back and have him take them off and refund me my money. But with his attitude I highly doubt that will happen. So now I’m stuck with the most horrendous nail job I’ve ever had. Nails that make me wanna cry every time I look at them! I don’t have the money right now to go elsewhere for them to be taken off. And even if I do have them taken off, it’s a waste of the 75 bucks I paid for them! I’m sorry, but if I’m paying you that much money, I should be able to nit-pick my nails, period. I shouldn’t have to deal with harassment over it. This place only cares about your money. That’s obvious by the way I was treated. Please trust me on this, save your time, your nails and especially your money and go somewhere else!!! 0/10 DON’T RECOMMEND!!!

Vincent was so kind and accommodating. The 3 of us reserved a time slot together and received amazing service at the same time. We’re all happy with the results. Highly recommend! I will definitely be back.

I really wanted to like this place, but my simple manicure was atrocious. The product bubbled, and when I pointed it out to the guy, he kind of blamed me for moving around but when I told him it’s because his product was old, he then changed his tune and said it was because of the topcoat

This was my 2nd visit to the salon. I didn't have tips on for some time and decided to get a full set. Vincent was my nail tech and he did a great job! The nails were the perfect length and not to thick. The salon was clean and very friendly staff! I will definitely return !
