I called the shop and asked the shop do they have the Landstar certified DOT inspector working today and they said “yes” he will be in around 08:00. I also told him I’ll be traveling an hour and a half away. So I’ll be there around 9:00. I arrive at the shop and they told me the Landstar inspector is on medical leave. I’m extremely disappointed but I hope upper management sees this review. Jack and Will are the two employees I was working with.

My bf works there he has requested some time off more than a month from now for the nephews birthday party and denied. he is being over worked and he also has a home with 7 animals and i and i can’t do it by myself. He requested a couple days off and was then made to work 8 days in a row as a back up and or on call. i get you may not have people to cover but if he can work 8 days in a row then other employees can work an extra day or two. we rsvpd to this event months ago. he is not the one upset. i am. i think this place over works and doesn’t take into consideration the fact that he has other priorities. i work and was able to get it off because there are other employees who can cover the shifts. i’m not sure how many work there but i can say if you don’t have enough people so someone could be off for an event, then you should hire more people. this is not my boyfriend this is me and as a basic human being.
