** BEWARE - HUNTINGTON ALLOWS FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY **Thousands of dollars were stolen from my checking account with Huntington due to check fraud. Huntington not only allowed this to happen but they are refusing to credit my account for the losses!If you value your financial security, do NOT bank with Huntington! Your money will not be safe at their bank, and if there is verified fraudulent activity, they will NOT reimburse you.After they made me come into their local branch to fill out an affidavit and file a police report, they sent me a letter in the mail stating that since I was not paying for their “optional” add-on security insurance (that costs an additional fee each month), they will not reimburse me for the fraudulent activity and considers the matter closed. Their branch manager even told me the fraudulent activity on my account was from a known person who has already been reported!After responding to their email, another person from their “Customer Advocacy Team,” contacted me simply to tell me that Huntington stands by their decision and considers the matter closed. He generously offered to resend me their original letter that stated they will not reimburse me for the money stolen from my account…To recap this terrible experience, I had money stolen from my account due to Huntington’s lack of security standards, I was forced to jump through hoops to recover the money, but after doing everything they asked I was told they couldn’t re-credit my account due to me not paying for their upgraded “Security Suite.” ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!If you want to get robbed and told by your bank that it was your fault for not paying them an additional monthly fee, look no further than Huntington. However, if you don’t want your bank to watch you get robbed, protect your money by banking elsewhere.For anyone with a similar experience, make sure to file a complaint with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and report this to your Attorney General.

I hated this branch, tried to scare me out of withdrawing my money. Was actually told they "would have to alert the police for a withdrawal of that size." On the larger Huntington Bank as a whole, i also have a mortgage through them. Go anywhere else for your mortgage. If you ever change your insurance company they will not update it. I've taken my dec page into a branch, nope. Said they'd do it, nothing. I went to the website they sent me to to upload it, did it. Nope. Can you just sell my mortgage please, maybe they will be less incompetent that you.

I have never really trusted a bank before Huntington. I admit that I was nervous when I heard they were buying out my previous banking institution (TCF) but I have nothing but compliments to say about Huntington. They have numerous locations which is great if I am on the go. The employees are always friendly and are willing to take the time to make sure you feel comfortable with everything, answering all of your questions. I like their atms too, I can deposit cash directly into my checking account with my card, pull out money, deposit checks, etc. Their app is also really friendly as well!

Huntington is a bad bank to deal with. This bank needs to leave illinois. The people at huntington are rude and have no answers for questions asked. Very very poorly run bank. I wouldnt trust your money with these people.

Worst customer service worst bank I can’t believe that they control my money because they have a problem with them System that’s not my problem!!! Fix ur system I had to pay fees because I couldn’t pay my bill from this stupid bank I called this location they didn’t help me and I called customer service they don’t even answer

I had multiple horrible experiences with Huntington employees messing up which made me go out of my way multiple times which was super frustrating. I was on the brink of closing down my account until I spoke with Manal. She was helpful,professional, and kind. I changed my mind because of Manal's great customer service. She was able to swiftly resolve the issue.The issue: Huntington employees consistently taking down the wrong information which made me have to stop by the bank to change the info in person due to security reasons.I clearly gave them the correct information every time but the employees kept messing up.One example: one employee put my social security number as my phone number. I couldn't use online banking or the app because of it.

I hate this bank far to many problems. I was a customer of TCF ba k and its predecessor for decades. Never had a problem with them. I need to check out my options at other banks..

Horrible customer service. I was depositing a business check into a business account and it took 10 minutes after they received the check to deposit the check. One teller called over another teller and she is there is red flag to due to a phone number on the account. I deposit to other branches with no problem. Then she asking in questions about where I work and how I need to contact someone about updating the phone number. That was all B.S. because the bank don't know who phone numbers are current unless they have a reason to reach the customer, which I know that the bank did not research phone numbers in the past few days from my last deposit. Don't bank at this branch, choose another location or bank to do business.
