As a first time dog owner, I have so appreciated the doctors and staff at Palos Animal Hospital. Dr. Rachel has been extremely helpful answering any and all questions we've had, and I love that she takes our dog's comfort and experience into account with her care and recommendations. Thanks to her and everyone at PAH, he loves going to the vet and I think that's the best review of all!

I just wanted to take a moment to shine a light on one of the BEST animal hospitals, I could ever had the pleasure of working for and with. I just lost my 15 year old, Hannah Banana, as they know her. And to put it lightly, I was an absolute mess, as she has been my best friend for 15 years. She was a life long patient of Palos Animal Hospital and she ALWAYS trusted them, despite having a troubled past. She didn’t trust many people, in her life, but the Staff and Doctors continuously treated her with kid gloves, they were patient, they were kind, and I will be FOREVER grateful to each and every one of them. I had the pleasure of working, for this amazing hospital, for almost 10 years. So not only do I know first hand, the compassion, the willingness to go above and beyond, and the love you feel when leaving this hospital, I know that god blessed me by making me apart of this team. Each and every one of the doctors seen my Hannah, over the 15 years and their character has never waivered, they are the absolute best human beings on earth and I’m so proud to say they are my family and I love them very much ❤️?? thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you did, for my bug, over the years, she meant soooooooo much to me, and I miss her dearly but she wouldn’t have made 15 years without the love of Palos Animal Hospital.

Dr. Turek & Dr. Thomas are my go to at Palos! I cannot speak highly enough of these extraordinary women. Recently, my poor baby starting limping. Dr. Thomas was able to fit me in the next day. My dog Axel, is very fearful, and at times can be difficult to treat and handle. Dr. Thomas was so patient and kind with him. She thoroughly explained his CCL injury, provided all options, went over x-rays, and made sure we understood everything. She continuously goes above and beyond. I honestly hope she stays at Palos for a while! Thank you to everyone at Palos!

We had a senior dog that needed help. The staff was so kind and respectful. Dr Turek was wonderful and took such loving care of our girl. We are grateful to the entire team for their compassion and professionalism.

Can't even answer one general question that another vet answered easily for me. All because I haven't paid hundreds of dollars for a check up there. They don't care about your pets. They care about their money

You know I was wondering why are animal shelters so over filled. I will tell you why. I called to set up an appointment at this facility. New client. The receptionist says it will cost 72.00 dollars in advance to hold the appointment. Freaking unbelievable. This is so sad. I guess what they are saying if you are not wealthy don’t come here.

First time there, LAST time there! I was taken care of by a woman veterinarian. She was extremely uncompassionate, rude, and plain cruel and not just to me but my sick pet as well. This woman really does not know her calling in life. It's certainly not helping sick pets and she's clueless as how to handle an owner of a sick pet! It was really shocking not to just me, but when I told others.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE Made this mistake because of all of the phenomenal reviews that I saw. I had no idea that vets could be so cut throat and hard up for cash. even hit me with a "you know, when you get a pet you're also signing up for a financial responsibility." I KNOW THAT. Which is why I had no problem taking them to a second vet and paying for a second opinion. And it was worth every penny. I got hustled out of around $600 here and that was only getting the bare minimum that I felt like was necessary. I rejected most of the treatment they suggested. When I took them to the other vet, only about half of the documented "problems" were actually problems. When I asked for their medical records, I basically got a couple of paragraphs about my lack of ability to be a cat mom. I took them to bremen animal hospital (which was PHENOMENAL) where the cats got the actual health care that they needed and their shots.

My two Chihuahuas started fighting and this time the fight was pretty bad. I called quite a few animal hospitals and no one would care for my dog, i finally called Palos Animal Hospital and they said bring her in right now, i brought her in and they kept her for a few hours so the Veterinarian could look at her on his break, Dr Mills called me back and prescribed some medication and my dog is recovering slowly but thanks to this clinic for caring enough about my dog that they were able to get her in and help her when no other clinic would!

Can not say enough good things about Palos Animal hospital. This week my dog needed emergency surgery, and everything was so smooth and easy. Dr. Sankey originally treated and diagnosed my dog, and surgery was performed by Dr. Turek. Absolute professionals, that are kind and caring! Every team member I have had interactions with has been professional and friendly. They kept me informed about my dogs care, and gave me the written discharge instructions that covered all the care he would need. Wonderful doctors and staff!! Photo of my dog before he got sick.
