Brought in coins from my dad’s collection. I tried to find out the cost of coins on my own and was overwhelmed. Then didn’t even know how to begin to sell them. Went to Oakton Coins and Collectables. They went through them and gave me a price. We sold to them and trusted they were being fair! I’ll probably never know but made that deco to sell to them. Hard to part with my dad’s collection but we lived in Oakton for my entire youth and young adult life. Maybe meant to be.

I sold my heavy Johnson Matthey silver bar to Oakton Coins & Collectibles as soon as the spot price went above my expectation. They examined it, then in a couple of minutes they wrote a check to me. I made a handsome profit after holding it for more than a decade. Will definitely come back as the spot price going to the moon.

I live 30 min away from this shop. I checked other stores that are closer to me. This place had best quote for my silver rounds, very quick replies to my emails. It has safe premises and the transaction was very professional. Would definitely recommend this place and will do business again in the future.

If it's honesty, integrity, empathy, professionalism, expertise and friendliness you're looking for then you've come to the right place. I recently had some gold to sell and the process was effortless and superb. I collected several bids for the same pieces but received by far the best offer at Oakton. Furthermore when I had questions about some gold I'd recently collected they could not have been more helpful. My experiences with them have earned them a long-term customer. In a setting where it would be so easy to be taken advantage of, and let me acknowledge that buying and selling valuable assets can be a nerve-wracking experience - this is most likely the finest business of its kind in the Chicagoland area.
