The store said they close at 8:00pm but when I walked up to the door at 7:52pm it was locked. A male came from the back, saw me, and went back to what he was doing. I just wanted to get a few things really quickly. I won’t be back.

I buy almost all my supplements through the Vitamin Shoppe. I've gone to several of their chain locations but I frequent this store the most because of the service and convenience. The salespeople are helpful and friendly. When they don't have what I need in stock, they offer to get it shipped to my home. Their sales and rewards perks help me to save on supplements. Parking is never an issue here and I'm in and out with little to no wait.

I ordered online. Went to pick up my stuff in the store. She wants me carry all the stuff on hand. Rather than putting them in box or bag. Asking me to pay extra for that.

Lady with glasses (Assoc # 008377) was really rude with an attitude. Came to return something I bought online but she would not give me my total refund because I didn’t have a receipt but I bought it online and have an order number. This was a new product, still in its shipping box. She only started helping when she saw that I called customer support. Even after, I was a few cents off my total refund but I didn’t care anymore. Didn’t want to deal with that lady again. 03/21/2022 12:48pm

I was a recent costumer in this store looking for 2 things-the first was vegetarian vitamin D3. My vitamin D level is low in the winter. I have been advised to take this and am a vegetarian. The store clerk told me that I should not take this and questioned why I needed vegetarian D3. Next I looked for ground chia nuts. My husband is a gastroenterologist and nutrition specialist and recommends these to many patients. The clerk said that there is no need to grind chia nuts and that I didn't know anything about it and "did I go to school for this"?He also said he was highly qualified to give advice about this because he is a "life couch". What an unpleasant experience!

If you need a question answered this store usually has at least one employee very knowledgeable. Or they fake it to they make it. No really they look it up on the trusted computer to compare products. Describe what each ingredient is and give you their opinion. They are not hurt if you don't take it either. The store is clean and well organized too.

Updated review: Vitamin Shoppe has turned into my go to spot for certain needs since most of my local GNC locations have closed and the merchandise mix has changed drastically. I frequent the VS Lincolnwood and Niles locations and have had great customer service experiences. Skokie.. not so much. I have encountered rude employees on the 4 visits that I have made to this store in the past 18 months. Last time I went there I was told to scan and bag my own items, while manager is in the back of counter with mask pulled down below his chin. Install self checkouts then if physical contact becomes a problem and their well being comes to play in this manner. It then becomes unprofessionalism over safety. The time before that, I asked a question and told me rudely that I need to go to vitaminshoppe.com and find out for myself. Running a store takes more than keeping a store pristine and acknowledging people coming through the door, the manner you treat and interact with people brings results.

The VS was ok. The manager behind the front desk was apparently walking the young lady through protocols on what to do before and after closing. He didn't sound too pleasant and don't think it was necessary to speak in such a voice to her. He was speaking so loud that I heard everything he was saying. Not very professional.

I've only been to a Vitamin Shoppe once, when the nurse practitioner suggested I pick up a few things. Luckily, since COVID is still on the warpath, they offer curbside pickup like just about everyone else at this point. I placed my order online, and it was ready within a couple of hours. Upon arrival for a pick-up order, just give them a call and they'll run the order out for you. You pay online when you place the order, so the whole thing is contactless. Perfect. I'm not sure about the inside of the store--I assume they require customers to wear masks, and when the staff member brought out my items he was wearing a mask as well. I would definitely return when my current stock of supplies is running low.
