Please stay away from this bank. I had 2 items for $10 and $16 and they overdrafted me even though I had the money in there within 12 hours.I had to pay $74 in fees for a 3-4 hour $26 dollar overdraft

I made the biggest mistake of my life. Deposit check in the atm sat say it will be available oct.13 call back Now wont have my money until Oct. 21 bills cant wait. No one can help. Im gong be with fees due bill. Light disconnected. Think twice before making atm deposit. Now cant close my account until check.

Let me ask the general public, how can a bank not give a receipt when there has been a withdrawal? I go to my local branch in Michigan and withdraw $1,500.00, I don't not ever get a receipt! I can ask, beg but "NO!" receipt ever from First Merchants Bank....EVER! I have actually been labeled a "troublemaker" for asking for a receipt! Either their teller software cannot generate one or they are all fruit loop "greenies" who are into saving paper! My local Monroe Bank & Trust was taken over by First Merchants a few years back. Ever since then, I cannot get a receipt with the transaction amount shown on it. All I can get is a "balance" of what is left in my account. There will come a day when they will give me the wrong amount of money and no receipt and I will sue them in local courts if I can. I am presently looking for another local bank to do my financial transactions but First Merchants has bought up all of the competition.NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH FIRST MERCHANTS BANK!

Worst bank ever! Staff is constantly turning over. No one stays more than a couple years. Current tellers are RUDE & have ZERO customer service skills & seem to lack personalities.They withhold funds for extensive amounts of time, even when funds were confirmed, & ask invasive questions & treat customers like criminals. The only reason I am currently a customer is because they are a local bank that bought out my previous local bank Amerina, who took ZERO bail out money in 2008.

Horrible non existent customer service after hours. Mobile app won't recognize new phone. Told to go to the website. I will close my account ASAP.

Too many mistakes made by that branch. Customer service is seriously lacking. They can't seem to keep employees. 100% turnover of employees. If u want to be treated like a number instead of the person you are then by all means go there.

Waited in line for 30 minutes and there were only 3 cars ahead of mine, after finally getting up to the window and it took 15 minutes to deposit A small amount of cash.

If I could give no stars i would. I worked and banked here, such a scam. They’re hidden charges and fees in EVERYTHING. Trust me I know from working there. Don’t go there, literally go anywhere else and if you’re looking for a banking job, don’t go there. I felt like I was back in high school with mean girls.

Went to cash a check drawn on this bank and was presented with two options: I could either pay a 6 dollar fee or I could open an account and cash it, but when I close the account they charge me 50.00 for a close fee.

I've had enough and look forward to Chase! Very difficult. I love online banking but it's restrictive. If I transfer money it is always pending for two days! Omg holidays take longer!

This place is the best! Janna stayed waaay after closing time to finish processing my car loan which was approved already. The staff is nice and caring. Thank you very much again!
