Never in my life have I felt discriminated against and targeted by a bank like Centier. The Centier Schererville Branch closed my account due to my account being negative, with a balance of -$50, and -$58 for 1 week because my check deposit came in late. Keep in mind, I have 4 business accounts with over $100+ dollars in each, and I have been banking with Centier for over 2 years. They could've made a transfer to cover the balance. When I came to the branch to deposit my check, the branch manager, Donya Coty, told me that my accounts were closed, and they couldn't do anything because they didn't know why. I explained to her that I was sick and had COVID, and my daughter had RSV. She said, "That sucks for you and her, but your accounts are closed," showing no remorse and no sense of resolution. They immediately sent the accounts to collections the next day. The regional manager, Jennifer Doffin, was even worse! I recommend going to a bigger bank and not dealing with the hassle and waste of a relationship.

Would not recommend this location they don’t treat their customers right Donya the manager their lacks empathy while Jennifer Doffin is a straight a hole. We are switching back to BMO!

Very rude customer service . Unsure who was banker today but she didnt even let me finish my issue and had a very rude attitude to take care of customer. She is glad I am not a manager at this office otherwise she would be fired for behaving how she behaved.

HORRIBLE, very disappointing experience. Many years back 1994, my husband and I were long , long term clients of Centier in Dyer, LOVED , LOVED , LOVED our bank, unfortunately with a move and loss of my husband, we changed banks. I recently found some old Centier account & CD info, stopped by this Crown Point Branch and spoke with 'a new manager' 'M", she assisted me to determine the accounts are no longer active, I asked if, since I was here, if she could Notarize a document for me, "NO, she said since I no longer have an account." I explained my daughter & husband are clients and I had been for MANY years, still NO. This 'Bank Manager' could have had the 'customer service attitude', "YES, I would be more then happy to assist as I see you were a long time client, and have other family here, and possibly you might think about coming back to Centier" Might I say when I left it was POURING rain, after she said NO, I said, you are telling me even though My Husband & I were long time clients and have other family members as clients, you cannot notarize a simple document for me? I have to leave here in the pouring rain & go somewhere else. YES, she saidPerhaps Centier Corporate should take a look, I will without haste, share this with my chamber and association members.

The branch manager helped me in starting my business checking accounting and she was awesome !!! Very informative, helpful, professional and friendly. If I had a problem I know she would be there to help. In our conversation she said had been there for over 20 years and I can totally see why.
