An employee came up and took an item out of my hand, without saying a word and walked into the back. The door was still open so I could see her and watched as she tossed it into the dumpster out back. After I said something, she said they can't sell it. It was on the floor with a price tag. She could have said something to me before taking it out of my hand. Goodwill is a joke considering everything is donated to them and they're throwing away perfectly good items that could at least be donated to places that could actually help people. It was an almost brand new looking baby walker.

I had been going to this store for years but man this place really sucks now. I’m not sure if it’s just this location or all Goodwills. I know they have a gotten a new manager recently so maybe that’s it. Used to be full of name brands and cool items and all it is now is incredibly high priced junk and worthless tchotchkes. It’s kind of ridiculous that a store that gets all of their products for free is charging more than what you can buy it online for. I guess we can just chalk it up to corporate greed.

Me and my wife stop here everytime we are in Evansville. Rarely find much good stuff but we enjoy the hunt. Tonight a worker brought out a cart with stuff on it. We saw her make about 3 trips around the household section putting out stuff. When she set the last item on a shelf & turned to walk away with her emty cart, we walked over and picked up an item she had set down. The worker turned around like I was an attacker & in a hateful tone said "we don't allow customers to follow workers around the store or touch items until on the shelf" We don't need their overpriced junk bad enough to be talked to like trash. Should change their name to Badwill!

I would only come here if you are looking for cheap expensive brands. They sell used walmart brands for more than buying it new at actual Walmart. Decor is okay if you can find anything not torn up or way over priced. This is a good place to get toys and wall art cheap. Other than that it's just your typical corporate buisness.

Standard goodwill. Fairly well staffed and organized. No complaints.

they fired an employee right before Christmas because someone lied on a Facebook post. instead of taking the side of employee, or even doing a thorough investigation to check facts, they fired him after more than a year of employment. they didn't allow certain employees to get promotions because of family or dating, but they allowed other certain employees the privilege- unfairly. the Boonville store is full of hardworking employees and a corporation that is purposely killing the Boonville location store. upper management is absolutely destroying the efforts of the managers and sales associates and it shows.

They don’t know how to run a company they leave their people hanging by a thread without an extra help at least not real help and they run off good people who are actually trying to make some real changes for the employees that work there! Firing someone before Christmas because that person did their job but got a little bad publicity on Facebook just despicable if you ask me.

Was looking at item on rack by the fitting rooms. Was told it’s strict policy to not take clothes off the rack until the employees takes those off the rack and puts them out. The lady was the rudest person I’ve ever seen. That doesn’t even make sense! Wow!

Very disappointed with goodwill went to return or exchange pants that wouldn't fit and was refused to do either. After donating 100s of dollars in merchandise over last month. They are saying all goodwill aren't owned by goodwill. Which is misleading and fraud

I came in to the store to purchase a pair of lamps I had spotted the day before and liked, finally convincing myself to spend the money on them. They were marked $12.29 for the set. When I got up to the register the cashier rang them up at $12.29 each and when I pointed it out that the tag said “set” she told me that wasn’t right and called another woman I took to be the manager in charge up to the register. These lamps were just simple lamps from Ross (the tag was still on one), nothing fancy, but they were cute. The single lamps in the store were all marked $7-something and were larger and more decorative than these two little silver lamps. When the manager came to the counter the cashier first lied and said that only one of the lamps had the tag saying they are a set, which I could easily show was not true as the lamps were right there. The manager then told me that they must have “used the wrong gun” and that the lamps were separate and would be $10 each. There is nothing in the store that ends on an even dollar amount. I have actually never seen anything in any Goodwill end on an even dollar amount and I assumed it was standard practice (ending a price on a nine is a common retail pricing tactic because of the way people perceive it as cheaper than whole numbers).I told the cashier and manager I didn’t want the lamps if they were going to cost that much, and handed back the other item in my cart as well. As I headed for the door I could hear them laughing at me. As a disabled woman I am used to some level of mistreatment in public, but it still doesn’t feel great when it happens. If the lamps had genuinely been mislabeled as a set and were meant to be the $7-something every other lamp was priced at, I would have gone ahead bought them. They were cute lamps and it would have only been a couple dollars more than I was planning. But the lying and rudeness were not something I was willing to overlook. Some friends checked Ross and Marshall’s and let me know that similarly sized lamps could be bought for $8.99 each, so I guess I’m going to buy new this weekend.
