Have tried all day to get a return call from receptionist. My dog is out of medicine. No one will call me back. Very frustrating! Feel bad for my doggie ?

Love them, they are great! Had to take my buddy to get checked out. Skin issue. If you're concerned, they are concerned too. They were great with him and very loving and kind.

1st couple times was ok. Workers were of customer service standards.
This time, upon asking about prices, they seemed slightly annoyed that I was even asking. (I don't know if people had a bad day and it reflected, but today seemed more negative than usual from a couple people. The atmosphere did not feel caring.)
I told them I have my wedding coming up this month, and some of the things can be taken care of next month. They agreed.
I don't know if this is normal protocol, but they greeted me in the waiting room with wanting a blood draw right away. It caught me off guard. Then I got up, and went to the receptionist asking about prices. It felt rushed at 1st.
A wellness exam turned medical. Ok, I suppose that would warrant for a price increase due to the nature of the situation. When asking for specifics, they were given, except the disposal fee and medication fee. I didn't find out about the fees until after I paid, and saw the new invoice.
It cost 11 dollars per ear to clean the ears. I informed her that I already cleaned the one ear that was healthy. I told her, I can clean the other, thats fine (again, I have my wedding I'm taking care of, I'm on a tight budget, and it didn't seem phase them) but then she explained, "well we have to do it now, so they can look at it." Ok, understandable. I informed her that I did not clean it, so they could see it...or I would have. I'm more than capable of doing it myself in a safe manner for my beloved pet. Then after hearing it was 11 dollars and they needed it now, I felt coerced to have them clean it and dealt with it. Had I known about the disposal fee along with the cleaning, I would not have done it. 11 dollars quickly turned into 18.50.
Dr. said the rabies vax was under 20, to then find out it was over 20 from the tech. I learned, legally, that could not wait. Ok, understandable. I cannot put that off another month.
Now, we know medication cost, but to not label extra fees until afterwards when I'm expecting to have to pay one price to then increase it more, that's an issue. That's either deceit or a huge professional communication problem.
I asked the tech about his nails. I'm able to take care of all of them, except his inner thumb like nails. I have an issue with shortening them, and how much would they charge for literally 2 nails? "Well, unfortunately we don't have a price for a number of nails, but it is a flat rate of $25." ....oh ok...like if they really care, they wouldn't be so money hungry and would help someone out. Heck, dog's usually have 18 nails....that's over a dollar a nail. Well, after doing math it's somewhere between 1.38 and 1.39 per nail.
I'd have paid them for 2 nails since they're so caring and professional in my perspective.
Oh, and on the invoice it shows that the owner declines preventions
Owner declines heartworm test.
I told them next month after my wedding I will schedule it.
Now, I won't ever return there again.
Unfortunately, not as professional as expected.

Love Dr. Coston, he is amazing with my big baby. Staff are very kind, professional and I love it that they get us in & out without passing other animals. They come out to your vehicle to get you checked in, smooth process. We drive over an hour to see Dr. Coston, he is the best and so friendly.

I would rate FCVC a 5-start, but their costs are really high comparatively and have gone up a lot since Dr. Coston took over. All of their staff, including Dr. Coston, are GREAT and take good care of our dogs, just kind of expensive for a small town like Rochester.
