They do not answer the phone, turn you to a VM box, and do not return calls.

Received car loan through cccu - tried automatic payment electronically. Information came through mail 3 days before first payment was due. No option to submit electronic automated payments. Three different people told me that they have personally seen the page - not one opened their website to guide me through the process. On the fourth person - I told them to walk me through the site step by step. After seeing a circular link between two pages with no option for an electronic option, I was told to use Edge and it worked. Chrome has 63.47% user market share. Edge has 5.3% user market share. You have billions of dollars going through your bank and you can't design a website for 63.47% of the 2023 browser user market share? I wonder how many people have late fees accrue just because they can't pay their loan through their website.

Had accounts. Lost job due to Covid so had not used in a while due to huge cut in pay. Moved in that time and post office said would notify any senders. Tried to use account again and debit card expired. Said hey, “I never got new cards”, and mgr said $20 for new ones because we “canceled” them…the cards we never received due to no address on file. So how did I cancel? Can’t believe you want to lose a customer over a small issue. Great management skills! Shows how great you treat customers! Used to be an awesome place to do business. What happened guys? Closed my accounts thanks to bad customer service from manager and staff. if I was in the wrong I would’ve eaten the $20. From talking to staff it seems as if management runs the branch like a hierarchy. If the president would like to reach out to make things right, please feel free. Please send in writing with a phone number to contact you at to the address you now have on file now. Good luck to current and future customers! P.S. I have been in customer service for approximately 14 years, maybe longer, and management almost 10 of those years. I would never treat a customer so poorly based upon the facts as presented. I will update my post with any updates. Thanks for reading!

The place is a joke, trying to steal my car back and won’t allow me to make a payment on my car won’t return phone calls. The whole company will not cooperate so let me pay for my car offered to pay it back and paid off in full no one will even call me back because they would rather repo it and sell it so they make more money. It’s all the word buys money and making money themselves and they don’t care what they do to others considering I have a disabled child that needs to be able to make it to doctors appointments and they have no compassion heart or understanding after I lost my job and knowing that that this is going reason I got my car was for my son and now they’re just trying to take it away from me and won’t call me back horrible place to bank with horrible place to get a loan through horrible horrible. Somebody needs to put a stop to this company now they’re just out to get me. I paid them $1500.11 days ago I haven’t had a car payment due and it’s not due till 6 August 4 days and they’re trying to repo my car today.

I love my location in Spirit Lake. Always friendly and helpful. Corporate in Fort Dodge has the worst Customer Service of any bank or credit union I have ever done business with. They never answer the phone, always voicemail and they don't return calls for hours if ever.

Living anywhere outside of Fort Dodge makes it almost impossible to work with Citizens. Their website is clunky, If i have to make changes to my account I can't do it online because they never give you any helpful information. I feel like it's stuck in early 2000s. Its 2023. Get with the program.

Moved here year ago looking for local bank to use! Sadly disappointed!Either this branch has hostel work environment or they are just plain annal! When you sit down and must request a smile from an employee (two separate occasions) should have been my first clue! No access to control my debt card, it was hacked branch canceled and wanted me to pay for a new card that someone else hacked, NO! Closed account looking for better place!

Yesterday after calling 5 separate times because my card got canceled by mistake I finally decided to try their online banking again hoping they updated it and it was no longer a useless waste of time. Got my card replaced and account access again. The online banking locked me back out 28 hours later remaining a useless waste of time can’t wait to be able to drop this bank. Their service is the worst it could possibly be. If you are someone who depends on online banking like I do this is NOT the place for you.
