Very neat place to go back in history. The staff lady was great and very knowledgeable.

They are setting up for an April 30th opening. It will be a very well well stocked and interesting historical exhibits. They have native American displays, antique work instruments of all types, historical documents, and many other things from our past in Iowa.

I go there every year. They changed some of the exhibits. A good place for some souvenirs and to learn about Ottumwa history. Cost 5 dollars for admission.

From Iowa Heartland History Connection
Iowa Heartland History Connection is currently open to the public with temporary exhibits, gift shop, research center, and event space. We anticipate a grand opening with permanent exhibits in spring 2022. We are a private non-profit organization; not funded by the county.
