Restaurant is carry out only . Poor experience with them on Christmas eve. The are encouraging the order on line on website by indicating coupons for money off order . I ordered online . Bill was $89:00 with gratuity . They called order was ready after waiting in bitter cold for an hour outside door , which was barred , I received the order . All items checked off. Upon arriving home 2 items were missing. I called back. Staff answered saying that nothing could be missing because it was checked . She then hung up on me. I called back right away starting to ask them , when she interrupted saying ( “ too busy, I will call you back.”) She never did . I called back today and spoke to the manager who said I could not have a refund for missing items due to the online order. I did pick up the items. They were poor food quality. To owner : I feel this restaurant started out as a good thing , but the strict regiment of carryout and declining services is going to close the doors .

Best Chinese in Des Moines. It's unfortunate that this large establishment has yet to open for dine in. Hopefully they can pay the cost of owning a take-out only business while working out of a space meant for three seperate take-outs or one large dine-in restuarant.

This place needs to open the dining room or shut down. They treat customers like Lepers. Stay far away from here. Seems they have Covid derangement syndrome. Nothing heavenly about this place.

Please don’t go here. Ordered chicken fried rice; no chicken. And the rice was days old, hard, and crunchy. Upon calling for it be remade, the owner said I would need to pay 4 dollars extra for chicken and they would remake it. Picked up the food and the rice was still old and crunchy. Owner said she has no control over the chef.

Was craving soup dumplings. Picked some up and was extremely happy I did! Broth was delicate and flavorful. Dough was perfect on the dumplings themselves. Got some other stuff for takeout. Everything was HEAVENLY.Food: 5/5

Very good food, but…Beware that it’s take out only. The dining room is at least for now closed.I found the online ordering software difficult to use as it wouldn’t let me edit my order. So I just called instead. No big deal. However The portions, except for the soup, were small for the price. Generally Chinese takeout is in a packed full container, not a partly filled container. Ours was not packed full with our various dishes. Particularly the $18 combo fried rice. Considering that most of our orders were tofu, rice and veggies, really? The food was great here, don’t get me wrong. I recommend it. I was just put off by the serving size versus price.

Food was plentiful an good. But couldn’t set inside so being from out of town it sucked to have to set out in our car. Been nice to have known before we got there.

I am a BIG fan of this spot. Due to COVID, they are only open for carry out. Do not let that scare you away, as it so worthy of a carry out/to go option. You place your order online, and pick it up within 15-30 minutes, depending on how busy they are. I ordered two nights in a row. Within the two nights, I got orange chicken, egg rolls, cucumber salad, pork buns, and mongolian beef. I cannot recommend the mongolian beef and pork buns enough. By far the best things I ordered here! One thing to note is that rice does not come complimentary with the entrees, so you'll need to order a side of rice. If you order a lot of rice, be sure to order extra. Nonetheless I cannot recommend this spot enough. A serious gem in the city. There is free parking along side the street, if you need time to kill while waiting for your food there are plenty of shops and surrounding bars.

Go somewhere else. Absolutely terrible. Smelled like sewage when they opened the door. $50 for an app and two dishes. No rice, food was mushy and cooked by an incompetent. Hy-Vee "Chinese" is better by miles, and that's says a lot. No need to pay way too much for way too little. Especially when way too little is not even cooked well. Also, they were not busy on a Friday.

Best Kung Pao chicken ever. Everything is delicious. I just wish they would open back up for sit down dining.

Worst food ever!! Do not waste your hard earned $ on this food!! We spent $54 and didn’t even get rice with our meal. The egg rolls were burned and our kung pao chicken was way spicier than ordered!! When we called them to complain they graciously blamed everything on “Door Dash”. Did Door Dash prepare the food?? NO! Do not expect to get your monies worth at this restaurant!!! We will NEVER EVER order from them again!! Buyer beware!! ?

At the date of this review (7/27/22) you can not eat in the restaurant. They will only do carry out. We couldn't even walk in the door because it was barricaded with a table and staff member. My husband and I were looking forward to trying what we had heard was authentic Chinese food but unfortunately we were unable to do so. We live 25 minutes away from the restaurant so taking food home would mean cold food and eating carry out on the curb wasn't exactly on our list of fun ways to spend a rare night out. I gave a two star review out of kindness rather than one star in hopes that if you actually get to eat their food, perhaps it is delicious.

Overall, not a great experience. My wife ordered food from this place as there seems to be many positive reviews online... However, it is clear to us that it is overpriced, low food quantity and quality (found multiple hairs in food)... I'll save my money for Thursday's Valley Junction Farmer's Market & Food Trucks... I'd urge you to do the same...

The Mapo tofu and the potato filled pancakes are very tasty. The menu has lots of vegetarian options especially compared to most Chinese restaurants. I ordered takeout from across town and the takeout was packaged very well. I'm excited to try more vegetarian dishes from their menu!
