I thought I was going to lose my cat. Dixie is doing amazing now! Love this place, I would recommend to anyone who has a sick animal who is Willing to fight cancer holistically.

We have gone to Mariposa for years for all our Exotics needs. Dr Burcham is our go to vet, especially for our guinea pigs. She trusts our intuition and takes our concerns seriously. She is very kind and considerate, especially when we lose a dear sweet pet.

I've had dogs all my life so I've been to many different vet clinics but Mariposa is unique. First, they are a "fear free" practice so there is no crowded waiting room full of barking dogs. Also, the exam rooms are very comfortable with no big metal tables. The vet and tech played with the dogs and gave them treats for at least 30 minutes while we talked. I was impressed by the thoroughness of the interview before they began the exam. They made sure all my questions were answered. The exam and immunizations occurred on the floor. Throughout the process they were focused on keeping the dogs comfortable and happy. Dr Kinnon was wonderful and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mariposa.

It has been years since my Harlan dog passed due to cancer. But I still tell people dealing with their animal’s illnesses to try Mariposa if I’m asked. I feel like they cared so much and tried everything I let them try to keep her alive, not limiting her to western medicine.

Called Saturday to make an appointment. Was told they would call us back Monday as they didn’t have enough people to make an appointment for us. Come Monday we called and left a voicemail since they still hadn’t called. Have received zero follow up.
Update: Would be willing to change my review but it’s now 4 business days of waiting to schedule an appointment.

I took my adopted and anxious 6 year old Aussie to Mariposa for her first vet visit. I have never seen my dog relax so quickly in any other situation. Dr. Kinnon and the veterinary technician, Celia, were so kind and patient and absolutely wonderful with my dog. Dr. Kinnon did a complete physical exam and she and Celia were even able to draw blood for a heartworm test. I kept expecting my dog to try and leave or resist in some way, but she was so content to sit there and be examined and cared for. To say nothing of the tasty treats she was receiving. From the time that we arrived in the parking lot to the time we left, we were both treated with professionalism, kindness and care. Mariposa is truly a Fear Free Practice.

Best Vet in the KC metro. We take all our pets there, including our rabbits. All the Veterinarian's who work at Mariposa are very friendly and truly care about your pets welfare.
