I was told I did not graduate after I had already received my gown and paid my fees. My advisor signed off on my portfolio, but forgot to assign me a class and it was not caught until the week of graduation when I went to process my license. The advisor put it back on the students to "double check their schedules" after what had happened to me even though it's a paced and structured program. Pitt State said it was "just one more class... just $1000 more... you have a couple of days to figure it out" as the needed class was set to start in five days time and the tuition was due beforehand. Not to mention a four hour notice that if I didn't petition for graduation I wouldn't graduate for an additional semester. I had to spend extra money and make numerous communications to make sure my license would be extended and that I would still have a job... my livelihood because of all of this. I received no apology from the university and was avoided. Four months after my original graduation date I received my diploma and the commencement booklet... that I'm not in. So much for that 4.0. Very disappointed in how this was handled.

Pittsburg is a fairly small college town where the University is the lifeblood. The older buildings have a more classical appeal. The campus has expanded in the last decade with some impressive but less than interesting designs. For a small university it has really spread out. Most attractive and worth a walk around is the lake behind the newer “Pittsburg State Gorilla football stadium. Nice park area with pavilions and benches.

We had so much fun today at the dog park. I think we like to go there just like our dogs. We live close to the lake and sometimes we take them down there. They enjoy walking and getting in the water.
