This gym is always clean, and they always have fresh towels and cleaner to use when you go to the machines. It is always a pleasant, cool temperature inside, and there is a nice variety of workout classes. The classes have a variety of intensities, and the instructors are usually friendly and welcoming. They are also conscious of different fitness levels. This Y is usually not extremely busy, so I am able to use all of the machines that I want to use. There is a nice hiking trail in the woods that I have been on several times. Just watch out for ticks! They have decent hours, and the complimentary coffee in the morning is a nice touch.

I spend a lot of early mornings in the pool, and the staff and lifeguards are simply amazing. They are there every morning, and enable us to get our days off to a great start! I really appreciate the ability to schedule time to swim, and the ability to change/move that scheduled time within certain timeframes. Highly recommend this YMCA!

The Oldham county Y is wonderful! We couldn’t be happier! The cost is very reasonable considering the pool, child care, all the classes, convenient my hours, and all the equipment you can use! The staff is all super friendly and helpful!

Oldham County YMCA has a very friendly staff. It is always clean. I come to The Oldham County YMCA because of Wendy W, who is an aquatic instructor. I love the hydro cycling class

I love the place. Clean, quiet, lots of things to do and most important people working here are welcoming and pleasant. However, the 3 star review is because I inquired for some personal swimming classes for my 5 year old kid. I reached out in person to the director of membership, A. J. ( Name initials) trying to find a suitable time that worked for my family. He said he would contact the swimming instructors to check availability. He was going to get back to me in a couple of days to follow up but he never did. I also called him a couple of days later and left a very detail voice mail in A. J.'s direct line. Never heard back from him! So, today, after working all night for almost 13 hours, I went to the Norton Commons facility where Mr. PJ was extremely helpful and walked me through the process of enrolling my little kiddo in her so wished swimming lessons.I do not know if the director of membership of the Buckner facility does not value my family's membership.On the other hand, thanks PJ at the Norton Commons facility! And thanks to the remaining 99% of staff members at Buckner!
