The service technician was courteous and friendly. He had the needed item to do the repair and was in and out quickly. My wife and I would certainly recommend Sears Appliance Repair.

Update for a repair scheduled 8/28/24 between 8-12. I continued to get updated arrival estimates pushing back the arrival time to 2:07 pm (obviously outside the scheduled window, which was a problem as I had to reschedule my morning, having been told no afternoon times were available.
The technician then apparently reported the service as complete, no explanation of what he did with the parts that had been ordered and delayed the scheduled repair by another two weeks after the last visit. Clearly either Bryan has a really problem understanding how to tell the truth and lacks the most important quality of a repair technician, showing up.
The dispatch office could only confirm he reported the repair as complete.
I would not recommend doing business with Sears Home services and especially with Bryan. I thought the first repair schedule snafu was a problem with the organization, but he may have misrepresented what info he had then. Here is hoping the next generation of tradesmen can do better. My home warranty is referring me to a different repair service.
Sears has asked for a rating for the technician, but he was fine the process of working with the program has been utterly unsatisfactory. Three weeks ago my washer stopped functioning. I contacted my home warranty which contracts with Sears and I was automatically for about a week out. Then I got a bot contact to try to have ME diagnose the problem, I was asked to photograph the appliance and describe the problem in more detail. I responded as best I could, then got a message I had been rescheduled for two weeks later. I received a part (a motor) that apparently had been ordered for the repair in only a few days but still had to wait for the appointment that had been rescheduled. The tech arrived yesterday he stated he got none of the information I had provided to the bot nor the information that ‘a technician’ supposedly reviewed the information I provided to the bot and decided what part to order and to delay the appointment ‘to allow time for the part and to assure when a technician arrived that it could be repaired immediately an not delay the repair. The technician who showed up noted that there are many parts needed and he could not fix it. He thought I needed a new washer since mine was so old. He explained that the warranty company would have to review for 24 hours to determine if additional parts and repairs would be needed. Now I am waiting to hear how much longer I will have to wait. Had the original appointment been honored, that process would have occurred two weeks ago. And the only feedback Sears is asking for is about the technician. Sears consider spending some money on improving your process and reviewing the timeframes from the time of request to the time of resolution. I will be stuck with Sears as long as I have a warranty, and I know I am fortunate to have one. As of now I have not had a functioning washer for three weeks, paid my ‘deductible’ three weeks ago, and have been making my monthly payments on the warranty. I am not aware if or when it will be repaired.

While the repair completed by Bryan on Friday July 12th was 5-star great, I had major difficulties with the previous repairman on July 3rd. I would like to be contacted by a leader at Sears Appliance repair to discuss my experience on July 3rd. Sears Appliance Repair has my cell number, email, and address, so connecting with me should not be difficult.
7/23/24 Post Update: I am still waiting on a leader from Sears Appliance Repair to contact me and discuss my experience.

Tech was neat, respectful, knowledgeable and quick. With all the changes at Sears, he was concerned parts were nit available but did find unit on his truck. It was refurbished but that's all there is anymore.

Would rate 0 stars if I could. Have been without a fridge for over a month & now have had TWO appointments where the technicians never showed up, including today. Fed up & appalled at the lack of customer service.

Ethan took the time to review the issue prior to arrival and provided advice on monitoring for future problems. I appreciated his honest opinion and availability. Easy online scheduling, excellent communication regarding appointment and efficient follow up with texts on arrival window within the 8 hour time frame. I was very impressed and will call again if we need repair.
