Their mortgage rates are sky high and they will lend you less money if your young and black and don't be a black male they will low ball you. I'm making over 70k a year and they only wanted to lend me 134k but every other mortgage company has approved me for 240k-270k and they wanted to know why L&N low balled me as well. Please use caution with this credit union it's a joke. Take your money out and go to another credit union that will help you thrive.

Crooks. Overdraft fees are ruthless with no forgiveness. They are more concerned with TAKING your money than their long term partnership with their customers.

Friendly customer service, good brick and mortar locations, unbeatable ATM coverage. Left my commercial bank 14 years ago and have never regretted it.

I opened an account based on a family referral. I intended to use L and N as a secondary bank to primarily use their coin counters to cash in change from my roll searches for coin collecting. I explained this when I opened my account and was told no problem. Over about a month period, I had used coin counters at 4 different branches for a total of 7 times. On conclusion of my 7th, I was charged a 5% fee totaling almost $50 for $999 turned in. This had never happened before and I asked why now? I was told it was an "excess use" charge". I said I wasn't paying it and the teller said I had no choice. I then asked for something showing the bank policy regarding "excess use". The manager was called over and I said that I had never been told about excessive use and she said I got the info when I opened my account; and showed me a list of rates. On it, it stated "coin counter use 5% fee". I asked if every member was supposed to be charged 5% and she said no, only excessive users. I again asked what defines excessive usage and was never given an answer - just kept referring to the piece of paper that listed rates. I then asked for my change back and they refused that. I then said you all are stealing my money. When I left, I went back to the branch where I opened my account and they were unaware/unsure as to why I was assessed an excessive user fee and said they would look into it. I went back a week later to this branch and they had to be the bearer of bad news that my account had been closed and a check sent to me. Got the letter today with check and the amount included the $50 that I was charged. The letter never referenced the coin counter usage or any action taken to clear up their unwritten policy and confusion surrounding "excessive use". Instead, the letter claimed i had a profane outburst and that would not be tolerated by them. PROFANE OUTBURST? That is an outright lie. I was irritated and I did say I wasn't going to pay the fee; and said they were stealing my money when they refused to refund the fee. I've thought long and hard and I may have concluded the experience with this is BS - but that would be the absolute extreme of a PROFANE OUTBURST! I know what the bottom line was - I wasn't worth their time and hassle, so they accused me of a profane outburst to get rid of me. Can you imagine if banks terminated every customer for saying damn, s*** or hell? I'm not even referring to "F" bombs or calling employee names. I was a victim of an arbitrary teller who decided to charge me 5% for a service at their bank. Nobody should use this credit union if they are going to apply different expectations to different customers.

i have been loyal customer since 2016. someone went to atm, helped themselves to my money, now L&N has punished me by stopping my privileges from using atms. i reported it, i called the police, why is this my fault. i am so disappointed with this bank. there has never been an issue with my acct, but i end up losing out. this is how loyal customers are treated. smh.

I have been a customer for over 30 years and have been L&N's biggest advocate BUT today that has changed. I don't know if they have new management because things have changed drastically. Service is horrible - in person and over phone. I am currently 67 in line to speak with someone! 67! On a Tuesday, not Monday or Friday. Tellers are the bottom of the barrel - where do they find people so stupid and who in the company is hiring them? I thought they dodged the "big bank" syndrome but they are a hick bank with real problems. Beware.

Today, I will move my account to another Gibbs isl institution. I needed to stop of paperwork, and understandably the office was closed. Others are not, but this one is. I called from the parking lot and they refused to answer the phone. They wee ores they were PRES they because an employee came to the door and looked out as I say in my car (only car next to the officers inside) and listened to it ring. She stood a few seconds and turned away. The worse customer service. I was going to make a limo deposit, with money I have coming in; but now I will seek another institution and move what they are holding. They haven't done anything another bank could or would do, but inconvenience me

Tony Raley met with me to go over loan options and I was blown away by the time he dedicated to me, even after we found that his loan options weren't quite a fit for what I was looking for at this time. He gave me a ton of knowledge and tips and I can tell he cares about what he does and the people he helps. I highly recommend everyone to contact him!

For one reason or another I allowed this bank to have my business for far to many years not as a primary bank but as a secondary bank I used for other reasons over the years. But a few years back I had decided to use them as my primary bank verse chase bank (which by the way I highly suggest). From the start it was obvious that the way L&N carried business it was fairly old school but nothing to serious, but as the different life events happened like needing to use my bank card to get an uber and not being allowed because it was a Saturday night after 8pm and I hadn't released my card for the evening.... I hope you get the point I have many other examples such as not being able to make hotel reservations while on the road because of the aforementioned reason being a Saturday night and all...... I hope the point has been driven home I won't mention the very unacceptable experience from today but it was a much worse and truly unforgivable experience. I would highly recommend that you think long and hard about allowing a place as poorly ran as this to hold your money for you.

employees are kind and friendly. they have free savings and checking accounts, and don't steal your money like other banks do with their "service fees". they even sent me a letter for an offer for cheaper car insurance, i called for a quote and it was in fact cheaper (Esurance is the company). i feel safe with my $ in their hands.
