Le Pain Quotidien is a bakery-style restaurant that was founded in the year 1990. It took off in Brussels and was started by Alain Coumont. This international chain has a number of baked goods and serves coffee, and it also serves a dine-in menu of food. One of the common themes at the Le Pain Quotidien locations is a long wooden table they call the "communal table." The very first of these Le Pain Quotidien tables was made from a large table that was fashioned out of reclaimed wood that resourced from old Belgian trains.
