I was moving to California and discovered at the last minute that one of my vehicles would not pass emissions. I only had a few days to sell it and was told by a friend to try CarMax, so I made an appointment. The whole process took about 30 minutes and I was totally surprised how much they offered for the vehicle. Everyone was friendly (great customer service) and I was blown away about how quick the process was. Highly recommend!

Went here to service my vehicle and get some issues worked out. They handled the situation very well and the wait time was almost non-existent. Great place to come and service your vehicle and not have to wait long.

We were able to review the car and conditions of the deal very quickly. On delivery, a nail was found in one of the tires and I was provided with a very nice convenience car until the tire was brought in and installed. Everyone, without exception, was courteous, professional, and effective.

Ordered the transfer september 14, called September 17 and they had not ordered the transfer. Car eventually arrived September 24, they said it would be ready September 28. I brought certified check for full amount and had appointment on September 28, then they said it would not be ready until September 30. Everytime I tried to call them I had to wait on hold a long time and go thru an electronic menu that routed me through central carmax number. I decided to buy a car from someone who wanted to sell me a car.

I bought a 2013 Ford Explorer with carmax at a very reasonable price and love the car! Unfortunately there were some minors things wrong with the car that warrented taking it to be serviced at no extra charge. I spoke to sales guy AJ and Kaitlin with repair center and both were very professional, informative and polite! There was another guy i couldn't catch the name of with the payment call center that was lovely to speak to and very informative! I had a great experience with them minus the minor faults in the car.

CarMax Staff Members Are Very Friendly, Knowledgeable, Professional And Courtesy. The Facility Is Very Clean. This Facility Is Following The CDC And The State's Guidelines Concerning COVID-19. Honestly had a lot of issues just trying to sell my car and it took about three weeks and my car had to be appraised twice. With that being said most of it had to die with laws outside of the employees control. Each person I interacted with was helpful in resolving problems and both appraisals were quick and easy.

I got a good car but the customer service SUUUUUUCKS. I made an appointment, had to wait *an hour* anyway, just to get turned away and told to come back tomorrow because they're closing soon! I just want to deal with them already so I never have to go back their again. They may have cheap cars, but they don't care about their customers

This is the worst car buying experience ever! I paid $200 to have the car I wanted transferred to the Baton Rouge location. Per CarMax’s policy, once a car is put on hold or a customer pays to have an out of state vehicle shipped to their closest Carmax, the car is considered sold and taken off the market. They said it could take up to a month to arrive which I understood. Fast forward two weeks, I received a phone call today to inform me not that my car is ready, but they “accidentally” sold it. I headed to the dealership to see what was going on and the manager stated yesterday another customers note was mistakenly put in my account that said I didn’t want the car, so it was put back up for sale. However, that note was from another customer and was suppose to go into their account not mine. The manager lied to me and said the vehicle was sold when it’s actually waiting to be transferred to someone else and wasn't actually sold! The car I paid to have transferred is still at the dealership. How is this legally possible? I’ve been waiting on a phone call to let me know my car was ready which I never received. I never said I didn’t want the car. It was their mistake not mine. Legally, I don’t see how the other person who requested a transfer (on an unavailable vehicle) is entitled to the vehicle.

My experience was great. Friendly service. All professional. It was quick and easy. I received a generous offer for my car. Their appraisal process is simple. I scheduled an appt. online and received an offer the same day once I brought my car in. I thought about it for a week and then decided to sell my car. The selling process took about an hour and then it was all over. I received my check and cashed it shortly after. They gave me a better offer than several other dealerships. KBB was way off on their offer as well. Anyhow, I'd recommend if you want to sell your vehicle.

I have been trying to get someone from the Baton Rouge location to pick up the phone. Trying to get the total price of the car I had transfer to the Baton Rouge location. I have come to the conclusion people at CarMax just absolutely refuse to do their job. Someone from CarMax texted me at 8:11am this morning asking what was a good time to call me. Needless to say I never got a call. Now it 9pm absolutely unacceptable. I will find another car dealership that has follow-up skills...

My experience was good. The employees were quick as they could be while they inspected my car so they could give me a quote for my old car. They were polite and kind about it. Then Tashonda (spelled the best I can) was an amazing help. She was very sweet and very efficient. She made doing the paperwork a breeze! She had us in and out in the blink of an eye!

Though Ms. Susie was really helpful, I unfortunately was unable to leave with a vehicle. She tried as best as she could to get me in a vehicle, but the finance managers would not accept my documentation because they needed original copies.

The experience as a whole was wonderful. I did everything online. I doubted being approved for a vehicle but to my suprise I was approved 10 mins after doing the application. The only thing I didn't like was the trade in amount I was given for my car. I felt like that was a RIP off at its finest!!! $400 is all I received.

My experience was great. I had the best sales person name Chardonnay Gaines who was just a sweetheart. She wasn’t pushy which I loved and she went over and beyond to make sure that I got the car that I wanted. The paperwork was stress-free and I was out with my new car that I wanted in no time. When you go to the Baton Rouge location make sure that you ask for Chardonnay.

I love my new car. Scott was a great salesman. He was not pushy, was very knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. When the car I had transferred arrived later than estimated, my transfer fee was refunded, which was a very customer-centric move. I had a great experience.

They were very friendly but not very professional. I wanted to sell the car in a hurry as I was catching a plane. So I asked for a time estimate. It took about four times the estimated time and I missed the plane. If I had had a reasonable time estimate I would not have sold the car that day.
