I searched the nation using the online site, compared the features of the different models. I used the listed VIN numbers to look up the actual build sheets and compare features that way. There was a little hiccup in the transport of my vehicle to my local outlet, but when I asked about the delay it was cleared up quickly. Somewhere in transit the floor mats had been taken, but they paid to replace them. My salesperson Chardonnay was fantastic. With a 30 day "love it or leave it" guarantee... I couldn't lose and didn't. I was very skeptical of CarMax. I'm skeptical of used car dealers to begin with, and then nationwide chains even more so. Best car buying experience ever. They'll be my first stop next time.

Honestly worse experience buying a car. Car was made ready when shipped and took 3 days. Didn't do anything. Price was okay but I couldn't get final price after I paid for delivery. Stains on seats and roof and visor. Glue on dash and seats. Super rude customer service and slow. Damaged front bumper and bumper trim NOT fixed in make ready. 5 phone calls finally got someone to take responsibility kinda. Almost ready to give car back I'm so mad. At this point, STAY AWAY!!!!!After they service the car I will update this review. At this point I say NO. Go somewhere else.

Not this CarMax personally.. However .. after 7 months of not getting my paperwork to register car ... They recall my loan .. keep all my money n down payment and want car back .. The ppl in that run CarMax in Richmond VA and Pennscola Fla need to do better and and actually send the paperwork... And not even that they have tried to refinance car without my consent... all because ppl in Fla didn't do there job correctly... I would not recommend buying ANYTHING FROM CARMAX PERIOD

Buying the vehicle was a great experience, BUT the service department and getting service on your vehicle is ridiculous, the associates are NOT friendly DO NOT try to help, NOT very knowledgeable,and seem to leave out parts

Unfortunately, CarMax is not a reliable and long-term partner that you can trust. The company’s loyalty and commitments are based on short-term transactional business goals. The customer is only as valuable as the transaction's net profit. You always seem to leave with a sour taste due to the company’s inflexibility and noncaring employee attitudes. Now twice. My family and I have had a bad experience at the hands of the employees. The level of customer service provided here is very inconsistent, unpredictable, and one-dimensional. The business office is robotic, and the management team lacks empathy. Clients want to be respected, understood, valued, and appreciated. You have missed the mark for a large percentage of your customers. I question this company’s integrity. CarMax's business practices are unfair, unreasonable, and harmful to their customers. Their policies lack a human touch, are poorly thought-out, and are inconsiderate of customers' needs. I ask this company to return to the basics and respect the customer’s time. Please give some consideration to your client's needs. The dealership's processes are very off-putting and shameful. I cannot recommend this car dealer in good faith. CarMax, you’ve made it too hard to do business with you. What a waste of my time, energy, and effort going out of my way to essentially try to make CarMax my first choice and destination. I have learned that loyalty doesn’t pay or matter. My loyalty to CarMax costs me an awful lot. I want you to know that will not happen again!

I had the vest experience, got pre-qualified really didn't want the car I was pre-qualified for, the lady assisting me found the perfect car. Everyone I spoke with were professional and knowledgeable. I'm am pleased and grateful. The young lady Kia, stayed with me through the whole one day process. Thank you

Bought a car from them in 2019, I got the extended car warranty for 5 years or 75,000 miles. A $3,700 warranty, I’ve never used. Fast forward til now, my car needs an ENTIRE new engine, from a faulty pin causing damage to the timing chain!! The car has 75,350 miles on it. A little over 300 miles over warranty. It’s going to be over 10k for a new engine, I called carmax and there’s nothing they can do. A $10 billion dollar company and 0 good faith. First and last car I will ever buy from them.

Overdue review from august, but we sold our car to car max and I can't say enough good things about Myra! She was so so nice and helpful and just a pleasure to work with. The process was a little long but considering We walked in with a car and left with a check, I can't complain much!
