I really wish they had a better selection of quilting pieces. There were some jelly rolls, but I was hoping to find things like layer cake bundles.

Got a pressing cloth for ironing wool dress pants. Very helpful and friendly staff!

JOANN Fabrics and Crafts is the best craft and hobby supply store on the Northshore. I prefer them over the two major competitors. First, if you sew, there fabrics are beautiful, the prices are fair, and the selection is great. It’s a REAL fabric store. Second, if you bake, they will have everything you need. And third, their decor is unique and their prices and sales are good. You can get inline coupons as well. The staff is knowledgeable and ready to help.

Terrific store for the serious seamstress. Amazing selection of everything and friendly customer service (including a polite cashier) which is pretty rare these days. The only reason they did not get 5 stars is ridiculous retail prices. Yes you can get a coupon and they honor it very easily but if you check their prices on the Web you will see their prices are marked up beyond retail to start with. I don't think that is an honorable way to run a business.

This was my first time at Joann's, and I was pretty impressed by the selection. In particular, their fabric selection is the best I know of in the area. Nearly the entire left side of the store is dedicated to fabrics of all sizes, materials, and patterns. The staff there was very friendly, and the store well-kept.

Joanns is great if you're looking for fabric but only mediocre for other types of art supplies. They have a lot of stuff in their store but it's mostly just the basics for other anything besides fabric. Meaning if you're looking for a very specific product you're better off trying Michael's or a dedicated art store.

The workers here are so rude, apparently only older white women are worthy of quality customer service. I’ve visited this location two days in a row and the workers are so rude, don’t even greet or talk. Yesterday I bought fabric and after she cut my desired length she walked it up to the register herself right after watching her give the lady before me her fabrics in hand. She is an older lady with blue colored hair and super rude. I came back today to return it and the manager is unbelievably condescending. I went to go through the process making sure my length matched my receipt and I went to the station and the lady never spoke and just reached her hand out. The only time she was faking a conversation was when the manager came near, she was also older with short cut hair and glasses. The amount of disrespect these workers have is sickening. Don’t know why they’re so rude to me because I’m young or what, but it needs to stop. I’m spending my own money and the least they can do is be nice, customers like me are the reasons they have jobs and I or anyone else shouldn’t be treated this way.

Great fabric, absolutely terrible service. No one would answer basic questions about fabric lengths. Brittni cut my fabric and refused to answer any questions and just shook her head yes or no while chewing gum. Barely answered questions that required more than one word response. No one working there seemed to care about customers’ needs or concerns. They offered a discount on the fabric after I pointed out a stain on the fabric I got, and didn’t tell me until I was finally about to check out that I could only get it if I downloaded their app.

JoAnn Fabrics has a large selection of fabrics. Their prices are usually better than online fabric stores. I tend to shop when they are having sales and use coupons to help with the cost of fabric and notions (especially notions!). Staff is helpful. Most are knowledgeable about sewing and can offer helpful suggestions.

I went there to shop for my daughter cause she loves to sew. I wasn't very knowledgeable in fabrics, etc but Trisha took the time to help me with all my fabrics that my daughter needed.

WOW..... Pleasant experience. Very clean and organized store with plentiful friendly employees left and right. I do recommend going during holiday times or sale weekends with fabrics and such being 50% off. I know this is a fabric store but their selection is huge- much bigger than I had expected- ranging from simple sheer fabrics like tulle to throw blanket material to thick decor that could be used for furniture. They also have a special order section.

I shop here every week and generally have a great experience. Today I went for tulle to put over my tomato plants. The woman at the cutting table, Nancy, had no customers so I walked right up and said I wanted 2 five yard pieces. She said, with an annoyed tone in her voice, normally she couldn't make 2 cuts but because it wasn't busy she will do it, like out of the kindness of her heart she was doing me a favor. I hope she saw that I visibly taken aback! I said, what?! You don't make two cuts? She said, still annoyed, that she WAS going to make a second cut. I have purchased miles of fabric from this store and had multiple cuts made of the same fabric. If this is a new policy, how ridiculous is that! I think if I want 10 one yard pieces, I should get it without any comment about some outrageous policy and without a attitude that shows me you should not be working retail!

Great selection. Found 40 percent off coupons online made shopping experience even better. The offer lots of classes. Will take a few this summer with my daughter.

Great store with pretty good selection. I do wish there were more silks, linens and quality velvet to choose from. The staff is always helpful, and the classes I have taken have been wonderful.

Joann help me with the beautiful fabrics I need to complete 2 backdrops for my mother's wedding. Both were perfect! Simply beautiful! Also, I was able to spruce up my shoes with some applica I found at Joann. Thanks again!

Love the variety and availability of the fabrics! Awesome sewing options. Some of the items are a bit overpriced compared to other local craft stores. Everyone has always been helpful when I've been there! And the coupons on the app are always very useful!

My favorite thing about this craft store is that they are open until 9:00. It's also more craft focus compared to Hobby Lobby where half the floor space is dedicated to decor.
The selection here is impressive to me. You could easily spend an hour or more hunting through the fabric and patterns. When it comes to tools and materials Joann also excels. There is a dizzying amount of cutting implements, brushes, and adhesives. Perfect.
Service is predictable for a retail experience. They don't go out of their way to check on you, but it's usually easy to find someone to help. The cutting table seems to always be well staffed even near closing time which is greatly appreciated. Cashiers are courteous and patient when you are fumbling about with your smart phone trying to pull up a coupon.
Speaking of coupons, do plan ahead and look for savings if you're a thrifty shopper. The prices on several items will be higher than what you can get online, but when you need it now, it's fine.
They deserve special mention for their support of the crafting community. They feature several in store classes and local craft groups can even use their meeting space to meet. That makes me feel good about supporting this store.

no assistance when looking for fabric.. I asked about differences between fabrics that apparently no one in the fabric store could answer.

Everything at Joann's is very well organized and tidy. The employees throughout the store were helpful in finding things. There was about a 10 minute wait to check out with only one person at the register. There was an employee sitting at the front door eating potato chips which I found very unprofessional. The lady at the register screamed "NEXT!" I found that it was very rude. When paying for my items the lady was on the phone the entire time and rolled her eyes when I told her I had a coupon. After I paid for my things I looked at the counter and my things were not bagged. She never spoke one word to me, I just stood there waiting for a bag. While still on the phone I grabbed my receipt and left.

This store is highly organized, sometimes you'll find some awesome deals (especially after certain holidays) and you can find things you need for crafting, sewing, etc. I used to come here all the time to find embellishments for the bows I made. There are tons of trinkets and art kits for kiddos. Most of the time employees were helpful, when I needed to locate something. It's located in a huge plaza, so parking is never an issue + there are a bunch of other shops around. I love DIY projects and it's fun to come to this store to look through all the cool stuff they carry.

I will make this short Black girl in there named Brittany is veryyyyyy lazy & rude. First time customer in there and because of her it was my last, when she is fired I'll shop there the district manager gave me a $20 off coupon because she was so rude and yelling at me but it has been 3 months and I have not used it, If my employee would have done that to my clients I would have fired him or her instantly..F what turnover rates the compamt has...you treat your clients with respect they are the ONLY REASON YOU EXIST!!!!

I quit going to JoAnn's a year and a half ago. Three weeks ago I tried again. I should have never set foot in the store. I had to special order the fabric I wanted. No, that's not the problem. I needed 22 yards. Here in is where the problem comes in. Not once during the ordering process was I told the 22 yards would be cut. So, when I arrived to pick up my order, I was brought three bolts of 8 yards of fabric. When the employee unrolled on of the bolts it was already cut and the measurement was off from the 6 yards I needed. The manager told me he would find 6 yards of fabric for me and possibly get it to me by Monday. I explained that I expected 22 yards of uncut fabric because no one told me it would be pre-cut. This is a problem because I'm making curtains and the fabric needs to line up to come out right. Hence I would need to purchase even more fabric.....$400 and no fabric. I refused to take the bolts that were 8 yards because i wouldn't receive help if they were taken from the store. And no the manager would not give me a refund because it was a special order. $400.00 AND NO FABRIC!!! I will never step foot in the store again.

They have a large selection of fabrics. The fabrics are expensive, but usually you can use a 40%-60% coupon. Random fabrics will be 30% off at certain times. Once a year (maybe even more) there is a $1 pattern sale. Last bolt is 75% off. They usually always have some fabrics on sale ($12 will be $8/yd), although not at a huge discount. They don't have a large range of colors for the stretchy jersey fabric, although still probably the biggest range in town. They have a decent range of cotton fabrics. Lining is in $3-5 range, kind of expensive. Their fur fabric section is small. They have long brown/white/black fur in solid colors. No orange fur. They usually always have a remnants bin that's 50% off the marked price, fabrics there can be up to 2 yards. Their snap ons are more expensive than walmart's. Velcro is same cost now. They have a big selection of trims. This is my go to store if I know what I'm looking for is not at Walmart because Walmart is usually cheaper, but with a smaller selection. Joanns has a big range of everything, but it's all a little more expensive.

This is my go to fabric store! They have an awesome selection of fabrics. Sometimes I do have to wait a while for help but they are usually very helpful once they get to me. I do think they may be a bit understaffed and every now and then I get someone who is not as educated in sewing, but the amount and variety of fabrics brings me back there every time.

I really like this store. They had everything my husband needed to upholster a chair. They also do sewing classes(not my thing)but looks like a good deal.
