Very professional and friendly staff. I ordered the Brooklyn bomber. It’s always a great choice!

Great bagels, when they have any.Must come early because demand fluctuates a lot. On weekends, come before 11:00am or you will not have your pick of bagel flavors. Their bagel breakfast sandwiches are great, when they serve them. Last time I went they had stopped serving them around 9:50am....supposed to be at least 10:30am when they stop and begin lunch. A word of warning, they close at 2:30 every day because they cannot make or keep enough bagels to last any longer. Food and especially bagel are great, but management needs to work harder maintaining their bagel inventory a tad longer each day. If they are out of your favorite flavors, buy their bags of bagel chips and flavored cream cheeses. Not as good as fresh baked bagels but will do when you have that desire for bagels and cream cheeses.

Tried to get there when it opened at 6:30am on a Thursday, doors were locked and no one in sight. Waited until 6:45am until I had to leave for work and still nothing. Disappointing.

Ordered a turkey sandwich on an everything bagel - to go. Got a turkey sandwich on a blueberry bagel. Gross. Not a good lunch. Would not recomend.

This was our most favorite place ever. Unfortunately they changed owners about 3 years ago and it's just not the same. It wasn't awful by any means it just wasn't what it used to be.

For starters we should take the name New York out of the title. This place is not in the realm of New York. The vibe feels depressing and as though someone just gave up and they are mid way closing for good. The bagels aren’t on display. The fridge is dark and doesn’t show cream cheese or any other kind of Deli style salads. Example - Potato - Macaroni. They don’t do breakfast after 10:30am and they take the coffee away at 10:30am. These are BASICS of any establishment in New York. What can you get on the bagel? One would never know since there’s no menu. Once you do get the mystery bagel from the back, it’s dry, cakey, and tasteless, unlike the crispy chewy delicious bagels of NY. The only redeeming quality is the nice staff. People who gave this place more than one star have been living in Baton Rouge for too long. Wouldn’t recommend!

I work in a nearby office and had a great catering experience with NYB on Jefferson. I placed a delivery order with Kat for 10 individual lunches and drinks. She was very friendly and easy to work with. Not only were the sandwiches, bagel chips, and cream cheese dips fantastic, but they even brought us a bag of ice for the drinks. This was my time time eating and ordering from NYB, but it definitely won't be the last! I thoroughly enjoyed my smoked salmon on garlic bagel sandwich (New Yorker), and a co-worker said her roast beef sandwich (Broadway's Best) was literally the best roast beef sandwich she ever had.

The restaurant has a website with a menu. When I tried to order something from that menu, the lady taking my order insisted the website was not for their restaurant. Yet the website clearly said the Jefferson location at the top of the page. They need to revise their web page to agree with their in-store menu. Other than that, the food is great!
