Never have prescriptions in stock even when i call the pharmacy before hand and ask 3 times. Like the 4th time they have claimed to have the prescription then when i went to go get it they didnt have it. I honestly do not know how they are not shut down due to the unprofessional manner of the pharmacy.

I called today and spoke with Miss Lou and even though she didn't have my Adderall prescription in stock she took the time to explain to me why it wasn't in stock and best practices to share with my doctor. It's extremely frustrating when your prescription is out of stock but having someone with the patience and understanding to at least show you they care is priceless. Job well done Lou

This pharmacy is the worst most unprofessional spot in the parish. All I wanted was one prescription. I was given a price for it wated an hour and then they said it was $500 more. Is that the scam you run? They wanted an authorization from the doctor. He wrote the thing to begin with. Its always a disappointment. Always, Always.

If I could leave a zero I would. The Pharmacy Tech working the drive thru at 5:00pm today has the nastiest attitude I have ever seen at a Walgreens. I've been receiving text messages from Walgreens in Chalmette for the last 2 days and an automated phone call stating that I have a prescription ready there. When I get there, there's no prescription. The answer should have been that the text was sent in error. I was met with, "the text must be old" as in October of last year? Are you serious? I just told and showed you you that I received the latest text yesterday and it's dated October 11th. I will no longer have doctors send my prescriptions over there ever again.

Booked online for a COVID screening, which their website allowed me to do. Sat in the drive thru for over an hour, just to be turned away. Mind you, they had signs in the drive thru saying that they perform COVID testing. Its ridiculous.

Filled a prescription in the wrong dosage for my husband. Dosage of pill did not match dosage of bottle, it was 2.5x higher. They are probably cutting corners filling scripts with their system that allowed the error. These types of mistakes could have a fatal repercussion for customers.

Long lines at prescription counter, staff seems overworked, most are grumpy but a few are kind and helpful, most all walgreens are this way. I am looking for another pharmacy that's not affiliated with a chain store business, hopefully a more friendly staff.....

Worst place to get your prescription. They have it, then they don't, they send you a message saying it's filled and in yet put it back on shelf when you can't pick it up bc their store was closed due to no internet .If I could give neg 4 stars I would .

This review is in regards to the pharmacy. While I've noticed the recent improvement in staff, they still have an insanely ridiculous hold time on the phone. I *have* to speak to the pharmacy to refill a prescription due to government protocols. Every single time I call, I'm on hold for what feels like an eternity. 9/10 times, after 23 min, they hang up on you. Currently, I'm on hold ("next caller in line") for 35 minutes. That's INSANE.However, once they finally do pick up, they are incredibly kind and helpful. The women behind the counter are always so helpful. This review is not to y'all! Thank you for your kindness!This 1-star review is to hopefully grab their attention to the phone issue, which has never improved in the last 10+ years. Sometimes I'm even transferred to a call center, who still can't help me. It's ridiculous.

Ive been using this pharmacy forever. But sporadically until now. The first two months recently were TERRIBLE! The pharmacist advised me because of the particular medication I get I have to call each month in order for them to fill the RX. This is understandable with all of the new procedures put in place because of the opioid epidemic. I have no problem with that. The problem is each month when I call to have them filled I have to wait on hold a minimum of 30 minutes. This is unacceptable. If they are going to make customers do this then they have to do something about this issue. Who has time now a days to sit on hold for such a long time just to say please fill my prescription. No other pharmacy does this that I'm aware of epidemic or no epidemic. I can say that almost all of the employees I have dealt with are very nice. Please correct this problem and I will update my rating.

I just spent two days trying to get a prescription refilled at Walmart in Chalmette to just get a run-around. (Out of the pills and have no idea when they would have them). My doctor then sent my prescription to Walgreen's in Chalmette as this prescription was VERY much needed. I spoke to a wonderful employee in the pharmacy named Rashondna. This name could easily be misspelled but she was an angel from heaven; very customer service oriented. She expedited everything and even called me back to assure me my prescription had been refilled and was ready for pick up ASAP. I have never been treated so kindly and just want to give her some much needed recognition.She should be "Employee of the Month"! Thank you SO VERY much Rashondna.

I remember the Chalmette Walgreens being closed the day before Hurricane Ida hit in 2021. And it took them over a week after their electricity was back on for them to reopen.
