I love using a pharmacy that gives you personal attention and service. I have witnessed prescriptions being messed up at your typical chain pharmacies all to often and because Haydel's Pharmacists know their clients and prides themselves on personal quality service, I will always use them. I highly recommend you consider using Haydel's Pharmacy for your prescription needs.

I have used Haydel Pharmacy since their downtown location was open. Now all of my scripts are picked up at the 311 location in Houma. My friend and I are prescribed the exact medication (both generic, same color, literally the same medication & MG) from the same Dr. My friend uses Haydel on Grand Caillou Rd. and I use Haydel drug store on 311. One day I was not able to pick up my medication so she offered to pick it up for me. When she returned with my medication, she asked why I was paying $5 more for my meds than she was paying..... Within 2 weeks of receiving this information from my friend, I went to Haydel Drug Store to pick up my medication & asked the young lady at the window if she knew why I was getting charged $5 more for the same meds as my friend..... Instantly, the red head pharmacy tech, Lyz, came to the window asking the name of my friend. She didn't ask the name of the pharmacy used.... I was hesitant to give her a name because her demeanor was very rude and defensive. I explained the situation and her response was, "She hasn't used this pharmacy in over a year!!" I explained she was using the Grand Caillou location, she said, 'Well she just got lucky! I personally have made sure that both of our pharmacies charge the same amount for the same medications!" Then quickly asked me if I still wanted to pay for my meds. During my next visit I spoke to Wayne about the actions of his employer and gave him a brief explanation of what was going on. He was no help & didn't show any concern for how his employee was rude & asked me for personal information. His reasoning for this occurring changed a few times (1st said they probably didn't update the price increase into their system, couldn't tell me when the increase occurred-1st said just recently.... Later said he wasn't sure of the date. He continued to validate his reasoning depending on the info I gave him.) He said he would call the Grand Caillou location. After I paid for my medication & was in the process of leaving, I told him not to go through the trouble of calling. My scripts will no longer be called into neither of the Haydel Pharmacies. It's a shame because majority of my doctors I see are related to the Haydel family.

I'd highly recommend using them over any of the other corporate chain pharmacies. You just can't beat the customer service. They do such an amazing job of making you feel like you're more than just a number!

I CALLED HAYDEL DRUG STORE ON 831 GRAND CALLIOU BLVD TO ASK A PERSONAL PHARMACY QUESTION, I WAS HUNG UP ON AND THEY REFUSE TO ANSWER MY WIFE'S QUESTION....I THINK THAT WAS REAL RUDE AND THIS STORE ISN'T WORTH YOUR OUR MY MONEY.....

Thank you Haydel's Pharmacy! I purchased a nebulizer from Haydel's pharmacy today for HALF the price that Walgreens charges. I had a prescription, but was able to buy it over-the-counter at Haydel's. Walmart quoted me a price of $20 more than Haydel's but said that they only sell them with a prescription because that is "Walmart Pharmacy policy". Insurance doesn't cover it either way so I'll stick with Haydel's!
