I walked in with a pretty well researched idea of what I was looking for but there’s just an immense amount of info to know if you’re diving deep and building something specific. Max and every one of the guys behind the gun counter are top notch, patient and above all know their stuff. They spent hours with me on more than one occasion walking me through meticulous detail and making sure I left with what I wanted and needed. No smoke and mirrors, the guys will even tell you their differences in preference among one another and don’t pressure you to lean one way or another on an item. Stand up quality stuff all around here. Can’t wait to send a few down range with my new sig spear 300 blk and have Max and crew to thank for the experience! Pew pew!

Service is always most important to me. Firearms, silencers, accessories, I go to Mr. Adam. Knowledgeable, patient, and always very helpful. I've never had any staff not do the same but Adam is my guy. Glad to have a place for anything I could want for hunting/ firearms.

Horrible place for customer service. Went there to buy my wife a 380 pistol and some ammo. When I told the clerk what we were looking for, his statement was "we have Glocks, Sigs, Rugers and some others in the case". He then turned and walked away. I got the impression that if you weren't there to drop a couple of thousand dollars then they weren't interested in spending time with you. I intend to but 2 more rifles and another hand gun later but it definitely won't be there. I will never darken their doorway again.

I’m pretty illiterate about Bows, I had a chance to try my hand at it, and bought a pretty decent set up , they sighted it in for me and set the draw weight, I’d recommend them

This is a surprisingly large gun store near the outskirts of Lafayette. I have shopped there twice now, and both times I've been impressed with their selection. I haven't had many interactions with their staff, but I'm not sure they could have become this large and well-established if they weren't taking care of their customers.

I hate posting any review other than a good review, but I was pretty upset with my experience here today. I was trying to shop local for my boyfriends Christmas gifts. I walked in prepared to spend whatever it took to get him all the accessories and quality ammo for the gun he bought a few months prior. I wasn’t asked if I needed help after I walked around mindlessly for half an hour. I understand the holidays are busy and I’m very patient, as someone who used to work in retail. I don’t know much about firearms so I was hoping I could get someone to give some guidance on what I would need to buy and give me honest feedback on quality of different brands. The young men there were not very helpful. When I finally asked someone for help, he did take the effort to check on a magazine for me, but once he saw it didn’t fit, he just told me that they didn’t have anything for the specific gun. I asked if they had any ammo or any other accessories, and he showed me the ammo and then walked away. I know enough about guns to know that not all ammo is good ammo so I was wanting more guidance on what to purchase, but he seemed like he didn’t want to help me. I was open to buying ANYTHING that a gun owner might need or want… a safe, quality ammo, any holsters, targets, even a concealment shelf, but I could not get any sales associate to give me quality service. I was prepared to spend a lot of money, but I left with nothing because I was just frustrated and unsure what to buy.I’m only rating 3 stars instead of 1 because the one employee did check on the magazine for me, but I’ve shopped here before and know they are capable of better service. I know their staff is knowledgeable and they carry a variety of products, I just hope after the holidays die down, their service gets better.

I was trying to purchase a gift for my partner, and was told by one person over the phone that I could place an order online for him to pick up in person. I explained that I knew that since ammo has an age requirement, I wasn't sure if it would be possible to do long-distance, as I live in a different state. The person I spoke to assured me that since we were both over 21, it would be no issue for me to purchase online to have him come pick up. He then transferred me to the gun department who didn't pick up. I proceeded to shop for the ammo online, and when I found the one I wanted, called to confirm that it was the correct one and in stock. The gun department person did pick up about 5 minutes after the original phone call transfer failed, and confirmed the ammo I was looking for was indeed in stock, even though it shows out of stock online. I proceeded to try to pay for it over the phone, which he said is not possible, I would have to pay in person. I wasted my time, I'm frustrated by getting two different answers, I'm frustrated by the online inventory not reflecting the in-store inventory, and the overall rude tone and lack of customer service I received. Would not recommend this business!

My fiancé and I visited here to just look around, we are new to owning any kind of guns. The gentleman that was helping us, Max, was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable and super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We did not end up making a purchase because we are still just trying to learn, which he completely understood, and continued to help us, teach us, and treat us with the utmost respect. We will definitely be recommending this location to our friends and family in the Lafayette area because of our great experience.
