If you love civil war history and looking to spend a bit of time learning about it. This is a great place that is definitely worth the visit!

Disappointed to say the least! Museum was good, but grounds completely inadequate for such an important historical site- no outside displays on battlefield, such a short walking tour - good evidence the state of Louisiana cares little about its history

This was a great little park with very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Would definitely recommend checking it out.

The Battle of Mansfield took place in 1864. An army of fewer than 9,000 Confederate soldiers from Texas and Louisiana defeated 13,000 Union troops. There are monuments to the fallen, a wonderful civil war museum and trails to walk through the battlefield.
